For someone who like to eat sweet rice Glutinus rice (Lor Mai Kai) Ingredients: 400g glutinous rice, soak into water for 2 hours, rinse n drain off the water 100g chicken meat, sliced 8 mushroom. sliced 2 chinese dried sausages, sliced 5 cloves garlics, crushed Seasoning: 1 tsp oyster sauce 1 tsp thick soy sauce 1 tsp light soy sauce 1 tsp sesame oil 1 tbsp shaoxing rice wine 1 tsp ground pepper some salt Marinate: 1 tsp oyster sauce 1 tsp light soy sauce 1 tsp thick soy sauce 1 tsp sesame oil 1 tbsp shaoxing rice wine 1 tsp ground pepper some salt n suger Method: 1. Marinate the chicken meat, mushroom n chinese sausages for 2 hours.(may stir-fry it aft marinate,if wish) 2. Use moderate oil to fry grated garlic till fragrant, then adds in glutinous rice n seasoning, continue to stir-fry well.Remove n set aside for further usage. 3. Put those marinated ingredients into a bowl n place the fried glutinous rice on top n press flat the surface. 4. Put the glutinous rice into the steam casserole, use medium heat to steam for 30 mins. Remove n serve |

darling22 Did you know that you can also soak the rice in white rice wine? it makes the dish so much more special. My BF calls it white lightening. I am not sure why. Or you can soak and cook the rice in merlot wine and it gives it a nice red color. VICKY
