沒有神 (Godless)


朋友患急病，被家人送入醫院，我到醫院探望他，與他聊天、談住院感受。朋友身體勞累，精神良好，我為他祈禱，祝願他早日康復出院。朋友不信有神、心中沒有上帝，說我是『基督俠』(Christ-man) —— 勸人依靠上帝、話題不離耶穌。朋友說，他是無神的 (Atheistic)、心中沒有神 (Godless)。

朋友說的Godless 和 Atheistic 在意思上有分別:
1. Godless – not having belief in God, not recognizing God;
2. Atheistic – believing that there is no God。
Atheism (無神論) is the belief that there is no God。Atheist (無神論者) is the person who believes that there is no God。Godless 和 Atheistic 在字義上是極為相似，Godless:不承認上帝存在; Atheistic:根本沒有上帝。

朋友拒絕上帝、不信上帝。認識上帝是人生重要的一步，人的本性阻礙自己認識上帝、對人生及生命的探索。「自從造天地以來，上帝的永能和神性是明明可知的，雖是眼不能見，但藉着所造之物，就可以曉得，叫人無可推諉。」(羅1:20)
