Thanks for the insight, Nanimiel! By the way, does your handle name have to do with something about honey? I vaguely remember the French word for honey is miel or mielle...

You are right, AsianFusion: MIEL means HONEY in French (but not darling-like kind of meaning; strictly the lovely, sweet stuff bees produce). In Italian, it would be MIELE and probably MIEL in Spanish -- too lazy to check on that one, sorry... NANI is my bf's nickname.
Could you hold an easy conversation in French? How long have you studied it?

Bonjour nanimiel, je parle un peu et j'ai oublie' beaucoup! J'ai etudie' la langue francaise au lycee pour 5 ans. It's been many years since I've had anyone to speak the language with, so my memory with verb tenses & spelling has gotten rusty. I could get by if I was in parts of Canada or in France, however, or at least I'd like to think so! I was thinking of taking a course to bring me back up to speed -- il est une langue jolie, n'est ce pas?
Hope all is well with you (and forgive me for my bad French grammar)
