Traditional Asian Woman Western men in search of an Asian woman often define the object of their search as a “traditional Asian woman.” This is due to the mistaken belief that Asian woman come from a cultural background that forces her to be subservient towards men. This might be true if the woman was in her native country surrounded by traditional boundaries. However, when she arrives in America she experiences a transformation and realizes she needs to define the boundaries of what is acceptable to her when encountering western expectations in a relationship. Most Asian women are able to carve out a new, bicultural identity without rejecting their traditional Asian heritage, in which they still have a sense of pride. They do face "model minority" pressure to be the perfect mother, wife, and lover as well. American culture has not only adopted the myth that Asians are smarter and harder working than other minorities but that they are exotic and erotic objects as well. There has been an increase in sex crimes targeting Asian American women and this has been identified as a hate crime and a distorted form of racist love. Recent studies have indicated that Asian American women have a high incidence of violence directed towards them by non-Asian males. S*e*x crimes against Asian women in the United States have become the subject of political controversy over the influence of stereotypes of Asians on the motivations for these crimes. Some Asian Americans point to the fetishizing of Asian women as a driving force behind s*e*x crimes targeting them. Asian American woman author Helen Zia claims that the stereotypes surrounding Asian women have much to do with why Asian American women are targeted for s*e*x crimes. According to Zia, “It’s happened on an epidemic proportion. It is this image of Asian American women being exotic and passive and will not fight back and speak up. Predators think they have free rein with Asian American women." Examples of violence towards Asian women are: A. Asian women have one of the highest domestic violence fatality rates in the nation of women killed in violence-related homicides B. One study of Asian women in heteros*e*xual relationships found that 40% of the participants revealed that their current male partners had sexually or physically abused them. C. Studies suggest that women involved in international marriages are at risk for domestic violence due to the unequal power balance in the relationships. D. One study found that 61% of Asian immigrant women experienced some form of physical, emotional, or s*e*xual violence that they classified as abusive. E. According to the findings of the US Department of Justice, the victimization rate of Asian American women in cases of sexual assault was over 30%, about half that of both white American and African American women. Hey..... Babe.... I am afraid that you and I are not at the same page this time. Good news that we can share our different selection regarding the blogs. That means that we are learning from each others. I respect your point of view of DVC. He and I had good time at one time before the birth of this topic about Self-Love during May 2007. Before that, we also had the debate on the one about how to keep the marriage last .....which you may find out the exact title of this topic along with my posts regarding the communication in my blog. I have left his for my own reason and I have never go back under excuses except once. I like to discuss and echange , even to some extents of debate. I dont mind of the opinions wrestling. But once it comes to the religions which I felt that I am not free in my belief. Then it is done for me. I would even like to argue with the person if I have to, but I would not point to her family or her kids for their faults. it was a long , even too long of going round and round to the point on that debate with many readers involved in sharing their opinions, too. I recommand you to read [post 97596] if you like, it was a compliments about his always being right.How can we learn life if only one side is right, it seems like it is a book required to be read instead of exchanging opinion such as at Starbuck with fun, jokes, arguments and agreements as well would be nice. It was quite a tension if my memory is still good. Anyway, let's the past be the past.Let 's not the bitter take over the better in our journeys.I was told that I workship God, but I can also write little poems and appreciate Poetry , too.In english, french and chinese with the compliment of my mom, she said that they need to be improved and I can do better. I guess that I have missed their engagement la, have I ?But I know that I wont miss any news from now on since you are my angel to keep my brain spinnning. The one blogger whom I miss very much is xerocles, Do you know him ? He is a very nice man. and his blog is easily related to people's life.I like to share with him whenever I could. Now, for this Nani sis, she is for God and sometimes she is not for God. So,I have to stick with her blog in order to convert her is my purpose. Hi.... Lee.... So true, it makes me soo madddddd that most people here think that women from France are the S-e-x free being. It is not True at all.French are less suppressed of urge dues to the reason I have explained previously, this makes them less obsessed in $ex. They are opened mind doesnt mean that they are opened -$ex.In other words, they are not desperated in discovering the pleasure and desire which some people just act like hungry wolf or mad dog whenever there is a opportunity . So sad of the law- inbalance applying to the abuse . Some people make $$$$ just to lie on the real case of sexual abuse. Each day, we can hear it from the media especially it happens to the rich and high career men. In many circumstances when I am in public, plane or elsewhere. I know how uptight the high- profile men with me .When there were little accidents by touching my shirt or sleeves , even when I tried to carry a conversations during my flight. They were just not as confortable as I was , they were afraid of being abused by the lawsue of sexual harrassements. However, they are some men who are soooo obsessed that once you have eyes contact and smile. they thought that it is an invitation for them. I can see these incidents are less in France though.I can be confortable being attractive as well as being respected into the men talk opening without feeling being as you may use this expression. I read DVC, NAN, SFB blog and is very interesting and they can be funny and smart and entertaiing and educational too. I mssing the NAN the most cause she is very smart woman. DVC can be very sarcastic but at the same time he has POV that is very strong and overpowering but he getting his point across. SFB is layed back and he is also educational and his writing styel sometimes like a scholar or a travel guide. But no problem if TOUCH decide he wanting to post in my blog but if he write too much then I just gonna delete him again. Bust is nice not to see him here. He can go harrass someone else.

So if someone in the chatroom told you that your right hand was going to be the best lover you ever had would you put your hand in a glove so it would not be damaged at all and then tell all of your friends that your right hand was your lover? Just because you hear in the chatroom does not mean that it is true. Maybe just a person opinion. I hear that Brazil woman is the the sexy then woman from Japan and I not hear that in the chatroom. Is fact, I read in National Geographic travel magazine.

Bonjour..... Oasis.... Nice to see you here, regarding your sharing of someone statement such as she explained that having $ex was different from making love because you might not love the one who was having $ex with you. How deep and clear in her meaning.I also agree with her analyse. It is true.Personally,it is regretable to hear the words Having $ex instead of making love. I guess it must be a kind of the vocaburary difference in lauguage.I was shocked at the beginning hearing the marry couples in USA using these words ,too. Even the girls talks applying this expression. So, I figure that it must be a cultural thing again. I apologize for my innocence at this point. When I am confused in the cultural diversities. I can only respect their approachs with my acceptance.Maybe they will find out that I am weird if I bring up this discussion by asking people to use the term of making love.Although I had shared this opinion in a lady's blog about these 2 terms in english and in french long time ago. In the meantime, I would like to express my enjoyment for your presence. Most of the time, you are quite serious, but once in a while you are funny with a sense of humor which is slightly touch of sensuality with the right dose. I dont think you are belonging to the group of obsession with Touch and Goldie.And I do thank the Lord for your wisdom and healthy mind with respect to others in public. Humans, particularly males, are violent. It has been this way for many thousands of years. Just because Western men are interacting with Asian women doesn't mean they are suddenly going to start behaving. It doesn't matter if women came from some other solar system; they would be abused as well. Where the woman comes from or what ethnicity she is, is of little significance. My point is that men abuse women and this has been happening for thousands of years. What are you going to do about it? Woman's body is her own and not belong to boyfriend or husband or lover. Is a shared asset only as long as there is respect. What I doing about it? I advocate in California for strong laws against male predator who not listen when woman say STOP. I helping abuse woman by doing part time work in battered woman shelter. You think this is just simple problem? You sometime go to a battered woman shelter and you look at all abused woman. How can you say this is not big problem. Even just one woman is beat by one man is one beating too many. And this is worse in marriage cause man seeming to believe he owning woman and he can make demand regardless of woman's feelings. So until all mans understand that NO means NO and STOP mean STOP of course I working hard to ending this problem. VICKY

Just because Western men are interacting with Asian women doesn't mean they are suddenly going to start behaving. It doesn't matter if women came from some other solar system; they would be abused as well. Where the woman comes from or what ethnicity she is, is of little significance. My point is that men abuse women and this has been happening for thousands of years. What are you going to do about it?
