Soul

In his post [post 117545]. [blog SanFranciscoBoy] asked about a soul.

His good friend GoldmanHuangShan replied in his post, Forum of the year soul, clones, mind, conscienceand KINDNESS that it was indeed possible.

touch213 suggested in why we are so lost yet the light is shining bright that perhaps there was a reason why not.

SFB then asked [post 121412]?

So I wondering really, do man have a soul and if he does then where does the soul come from and is it important that a politician have a soul or is heartless, cold blooded person without a soul the best to lead a nation?

Anyone have an opinion to share with me?

Thank you for dropping by.

I agree with you that the spiritual and moral qualities that identifies the true nature of a person as long as he acts according to his "soul" values.

I don't think we can lose our souls, it is our moral compass that goes astray and doss not point to truth and justice but to "what's good for me".

As a Catholic, and last time I checked they are also considered Christians, I believe in the spiritual soul, sort of Holy Ghost that is part of all of us.

I remember when I was studying English and my teacher told me that the G in GHOST is silent and so perhaps they meant the Holy Host insteat.

I find the best is the soul food served in Berkeley near the waterfront market. The take filet of sole and dip in a nice batter and then do a quick deep fry. Is taste so good.

What kinda soul food do you enjoying?

By the way, anytime some politician saying they feeling my pain, I always checking my purse to making sure their hands not inside trying to steal more money.

A soul is defined by the person who believes in some sort of life energy that defines the moral code they live by. A soul does not seperate us from animals ro plants but it defines us as something special to be able to do the things we are able to do. What that energy force is that provides us with that intelligence I have no idea. But I believe that wherever that soul comes from maybe there is indeed a supreme being and the soul is how we are going to go home after we spending our time here on earth.

Thank you for you comments, it was very inciteful of you. I appreciate the comments.

I agree with you 1,000% on this one. It seems the one the White House has a Fool's soul and so it seems that some of those who want to succeed him are almost like him.

It's a very profound yet simple question. The answer is I don't really know, but I am inclined to believe that I do have a soul. I started to think I have a soul when I realized my body is not all I am. There is more to the body, and there is more to the mind. There is a kernel within me that moderates both my bodily and mental states yet separates itself from the two. It is as though, when faced with a dilemma or crisis, there's something in me that rises to the occasion, above the helplessness and cluelessness of both body and mind. A spirit perhaps, but one that has immense resources and resilience... one that can transcend death and return again as life on this planet.

A very simple question to answer, if you aren't religious, isn't it? All life, whether human or not, is an ordered collection of quantum states. No deity exists to confer a special status to humans. So a clone, scientifically speaking, is no more and no less human than any other human, and so is the cold-hearted politician. Also, while some mentally damaged people lacking basic human empathy and emotions exist, I don't think they have the sanity necessary to become politicians, much less lead nations. In other words, sometimes horrible people become the leaders of a country, but they aren't any less human than you or I.
