Unanswered Emails Gee, no one really reads a profile anymore. I tell people I do not read emails because I get over 100 emails a day. I ignore all of them because I do not feel like reading junk mail that tells me nothing at all about that person. I have discussed this previously in Why Western Guys Think Asian Woman Only Interested In Sex, 368613688032654405993034033225 Chasing Pretty Face, and in Whimpy Emails. I want to communicate with people I feel comfortable chatting with. I want interesting conversation. There are a few I am starting to enjoy reading in my blog because I am learning from them. Moreover, I am not looking for complimentary comments Every once in a while I will answer an email but I really do not want to do that unless I feel comfortable with what they have to say. VICKY |

Challenges are a good thing. More often if they are presented in a none accusatory way or without rancor. Disagreements may be had with level heads prevailing. One, I would hope be secure enough in themselves to be challenged and put to the task. Accepting the challenges gracefully. I will point out that many people can take statistical fact and bend it, use it to serve a specific purpose or attitude. In the world of social science statistics may be used, but investigators will often apply the anecdotal evidence to form the opinion, statement. In science it is the theoretical thought that is investigated and it is determined if there is a basis in fact. We perceive Einstein's theory of relativity to be fact, but it is supported by anecdotal evidence alone. Rarely in thought are there absolutes. Most often shades of grey. Sounds like the western movie with the Hyatt Burb and the gunfighting at the okay choral. Hmm. I mosy into the bar. You standing there with your six shooter, I have my glock. You say draw. I whip out my sharpie and proceed to do lastest cowgirl fashion design. You whip out your crayons and do a stick figure drawing of cowboy with his favorite girl cow. Hmmmmmmmm. I think I outdraw you.

Hi... Lee..... Sorry, I am a little bit late....... Just by curiousity, is he really your uncle by blood? Or, you call everyone uncle and auntie as some do in our chinese cultures.Once again, I make this remark is becoz it might based on your original region.From the actual region where I come from ,besides speaking mandarin and cantonese, I also speak teochu which I dont speak perfectly well as the other 2 chinese dialogues. Btw, maybe you are wrong thinking that she catches him.But, in fact, maybe he is the one who catches her becoz he is all set and not worrying about his own assets. She has all the qualities to get a high-profile job with her Ph.D.and she can make as much $$$ as he does.So, at the end, he wins coz he is definitively not a sugar daddy. You are smart, maybe you can analyse better than I do. I only share my opinion based on my experiences and interaction .  which makes me more cautious on how some men choose and how women analysis. As far as I am concerned, most men want their life partners to have a career and be a pretty face, too. Unless she is entitled totally to his assets with trust. But, it will be a finality when it comes to marriage,but I maybe wrong . I think we have talked a little bit of this concern in our discussion through your post of chasing pretty face, huh?Without any reservation.I want to express that I really enjoy all your posts. I never met her because that happened long before I was born. Her family is the one who sponsored us to immigrate from Vancouver to San Francisco. His father-in-law died and left him some money but he suggested they share the money with my family and another relative. I really hope I don't offend anyone. I really enjoy the open discussion. You sometimes I take the opposite view of what I really believe just so I can understand why I believe the way I do. Someone said that I should not include certain topics like abortion, religion, race, or politics in my blog. But you noticed, we got a lot of positive and negative reaction from it. Some people are afraid to confront reality so they choose to ignore it. For instance, Nikon and Touch have opposing views. Nikon offer facts and Touch offers annectodal evidence. And when confronted by hard to refute facts he reverts back to the racial card. There were other discussions in the beginning where maybe I was a little to hard on some people and they have stopped visiting here. Maybe I was just a little too aggressive or maybe they just don't like the idea of an assertive woman. Their loss, not mine. You know, in some of the emails that I have dared to read because I don't want to be surprised by nude photos or obscene comments, a few have challenged my views and I wish they had made their comments in public so we could have had a great discussion. I would prefer to debate these issues in public then in private conversation becase I know where they will lead to eventually in the mind of the writer who will think we have some sort of relationship which we won't. I think we make a good team, sort of like the interrogation technique they call "Mutt and Jeff" where one is the aggressive interrogator and after the victim has been beaten down the nice one comes in and he tells you everything. Well, all I can say is that I have stopped chasing too. Possibly will downgrade from Asia Friendfinder Gold member to standard member soon too. for the last 3 months, I have emailed a nice girl from another website and found she has experienced similar things as I have. It is only recent we have moved on from being more than just friends. I wish you all the best of luck. Good luck to you and I do enjoy your comments. VICKY

Wait ... I bet your uncle is rich too right? Maybe I don't have hope  And she's really smart too. Tall. Beautiful. Ph.D. And I think she really cares for him, despite the age difference. In fact, he asked her to please tell his friends she is 45 years old and looks young because she is Chinese.

Well, this mostly has to do with Asia Friendfinder emails. Most of the email consists of one liners. The rest are sexually obscene, asking for dates, personal cell phone, address and so forth. Really, it's not worth answering. However, after someone has been posting in my blog for a while and I feel comfortable with their conversation with me in the blogs I'll write them an email maybe to carry on the discussion further. But I doubt if I'll find someone special in AFF. I know a few people who did. My uncle did. He is a dirty old man, short, fat, ugly, balding, but a nice man. He is 55 and was chased by a beautiful 33 year old Chinese girl with a Ph.D. and he finally let her catch him. So miracles do happen. I am not chasing right now so you can stop running. Maybe I don't have hope

Really, it's not worth answering. However, after someone has been posting in my blog for a while and I feel comfortable with their conversation with me in the blogs I'll write them an email maybe to carry on the discussion further. Hmm.... ok... mystery solved. Now I know why my reply email to your initial email to me went unanswered.  Sad to say, it ended up in the Asia Friendfinder trash folder. Did you send something personal like your phone number, home address, email address, credit card numver with cv number? Fair play is in order here. Emails from those who can't communicate with you. Emails inviting you to tanslation services. Emails looking for marriage. It often becomes giddy time wondering what in the world is being thought. But, why waste the processing power of one's remaining synapses in really wondering why? Oh, the scams. "My parents died and I had to return to Africa to settle affairs." I wonder are they scammming for email addresses or do they really have the intention to solicit for money? Rarely do people read today and writing is quickly becoming a lost form of communication. Chat speak is not writing. In some instances blogging does force you to clearly articulate a thought using the written word. I'm chicken so I close the profile. It keeps me safe, secure in my own isolation. However, after someone has been posting in my blog for a while and I feel comfortable with their conversation with me in the blogs I'll write them an email maybe to carry on the discussion further. But I doubt if I'll find someone special in AFF. I know a few people who did. My uncle did. He is a dirty old man, short, fat, ugly, balding, but a nice man. Vicky, I can totally relate and understand what you are going through. I've gotten quite a few emails that simply said "Kiss you". What's up with that? I want to meet people who can talk about many different subjects. I think you are smart for ignoring all the junk you recieve. It's unfortunate no one reads the profiles! They are wasting so much of their time, as well as your and mine! Maybe they will get the message reading your blog. My Little World.....Enter if you dare!! Muwahahahaha! ^_^
