What Do People Fear Most?

Two different magazines, Country Living and EBONY/Jet did surveys on "WHAT DO PEOPLE FEAR MOST?" The results were interesting, to say the least

Country Living (99.99% white readership) magazine's top three answers were:
1. Nuclear war/terrorist attack in U.S.
2. /spouse dying/terminal illness.
3. Terminal illness/self.

EBONY/Jet (99.99% black readership) magazine's top three answers were:
1. Ghosts.
2. Dogs.
3. Registered mail.

Any comments?

Perhaps it's a testament of the day that companies richly use demographics to differentiate their target audience to identify customers whereas an individual highlighting differences draws comment at the very least.

But let me get this straight, the American white readership are:
    1. Scared of their entire family being annihilated.
    2. Scared someone in their family being slightly less drastically annihilated.
    3. Scared that they, themselves might be similarly less drastically annihilated.

Death comes to us all. Personally, as a white male living in the country in England, I'd rather worry about ghosts, dogs and registered mail as at least 2 out of 3 are somewhere within the world of the living and not just about me me me.
I was wondering, really, have you met any really interesting ghosts lately? I mean, well, I do believe in an afterlife and I also believe in the Buddhist Book of the Dead and how we are supposed to travel to some etheral place to begin our journey either to eternal heaven or being reborn as a human or maybe consigned to some sort of pennance in the animal kingdom and I was wondering do you think maybe a ghost is someone who made a wrong turn on their journey to this place that determines where we are supposed to go in our next life or do you think it is maybe someone who just doesn't want to leave what they know for something unknown? Gosh, really, I would like to know about that.

    Hi.....Master Cuddles....

You are bless that you are not in the category of SOME who can only look at the pic but not able to read as Lee mentioned.

Fortunately,in these decades with the TV and music have improved our worldwide knowledges. Unfortunately, people of nowadays read less and less , it was good tradition back then as far as I am concerned. What do you think ???

    God Bless
    Your student, Rejoicefrance
Rejoice,

I don't read much. According to Socrates, writing was a bad thing because it destroyed the art of conversation. I prefer conversations to reading.

The black are thinking on the immediate scale and white people on a more wide scale.

Yes and I'm not really white, I'm pink.
Hmmm, I wonder.

If Blacks think on an immediate scale does that mean they don't have a real world view, only of their immediate surroundings? Why dogs and not cats? Why ghosts? And registered letters? Wow, wonder why that is? Eviction notice from their apartments?

Black and white are yin and yang.

What an interesting difference in fears! It's kind of funny how different people feel towards different situations.

My only fear really, would be a terminal illness/death of a loved one.

Do you have any fears, Vicky?

My Little World.....Enter if you dare!! Muwahahahaha! ^_^
