One Gene Pool(from a rock in the pond)
A lovely windswept rainy day in NewEngland.More specifically,NewBedford,Massachusetts.The historically famous Whaling Port,romanticized by Herman Mellville,in "Moby Dick".My family has been here for the past 105 years.Porteguese whalers,commercial fisherman,factory workers,tradesmen and woman.Mothers,fathers, of alcohol and drug abuse.Mill workers,seamstresses and carpenters.Soldiers in many wars.Artists,musicians,politicians and prostitutes.Policemen,firemen and homeless,destitute to the gutter.Massage Therapists,nurses,lawyers and a judge.Religious,spiritual.Materialistic to the core.Atheists,catholics,born again and dying of cancer.A muslim,bus driver and a string of janitor and fast food workers.A secret service agent,customs agent,electrician and an engineer.Teachers,farmers,a pedophile and a priest.And that's just my father's side of the family!Frenchman and french wifes,canadian ties.African Americans,Mormans,quakers and Jews.German nationals,puorto Rican shoes.Stock broakers,chefs,and nude models-two.Kissing cousins,single mothers,deaths so tragic and graceful and blue.Soft deppression.Prison terms andinsane asylums to boot.Asian doctors and jamacian CEOs'.Bohemian phillanderers on the french riviers as well.The royal air foce of England,a chamber maid in the house of Parliment.A clown, trainer.Subway train mechanic.Flight attendant and a prison gaurd.Floods,famine,Earthquakes,prisoner of war.Derilict and preacher.Brain tumors,car accident,tragic death by fire.Shot,stabbed,strangeled,aphixiated and glued.Swirling mass of faces,features,voices and smells.Muscle memory,as familiar as a second ago.And one day,I know that we will all be as one...who had slept,for only one day or two.xiangxiangkouerniyyah2007

Oh I could never forget my lady!I grew up around an asian family who,yes,owned and operated a chinese resturant,that my mother was a waitress at for many years.Thanks for responding!If only I could see your face behind that lens......come back soon

 Is your town big enough to have a Chinese laundry or Chinese restaurant? Just wondering cause Chinese been there since 1815. Did you know some of the crew on the Pequod are called Manilamen so must be infering are Filipino from Manila since that is what they are called then.
