Guangzhou Trade Fair

This bi-yearly fair last 10 days each time and for this April it will be from 22/4-1/5

What do we see at the fair?
1. People and
2. Products....and together they (P&P) make a marketplace.

Who are these people?
Buyers and Seller and of course hopefully dvc who couldn't made it for the last round...Would we see Dealer? No!!!!!....he goes to a different type of fair..

Who are the buyers?
those who are looking for new ideas and products that could be quickly profitable in their markets, those less genuine who wish to meet new sellers who could be suckers.
Who are the sellers?
Those who wish to meet new contacts; some who would be suckers.

So...wtf is my role?
1. To train sellers to meet more contacts because on the 'law of average', 1 out of 10 visitors may be a new contact....1 out of 10 new contacts may become a potential customer and 1 out of 10 potential customers could make a new small order.....so out of 1000 visitor, a sales order may eventually be expected.

2. So.....I train sellers to manage their time to identify 3 types of visitors....those whose business are directly related to the products displayed at a particular boot....those whose biz are not related and those whose biz are indirectly related and may exchange information....and of these three...how much time attention to provide to each three types.

3. Training is given to sieve each of these 3 types and practice the most suitable introduction, explanation, closing and follow up.

4. The count down began some days back.

indeed some have moved but VN cost is not low as reported. HCM and Hanoi costs are also escalating yr-on-yr. and those companies that went there from Suoth China rather not move inner to other Chinese povince bcos the quanxi cost may be unreasonable...so they move to VN which open its arm and not reap them....but if Chinese inner province can be realistic on those admin cost....it is still worthwhile to remain in China....however that is their calling not to give jobs away.......but some ppl have decided to venture abroad...

It is more expensive now to do biz....export in US$ shuold fall quickly for consumen products......already many are feeling the pinch....

so what is your idea vicky?

Most interesting idea. But you know a lot of the clothing makers are moving their operations to Vietnam because of the lower labor costs. How do you handle the problem?
