Give a whiteboard new life

I have two huge whiteboards (160x320)and it has been painful erasing after leaving the ink (whiteboard pens)on for few days. Gradual cleaning with detergents, warm water had worn off whatever protection that were added on the board's base...and that lasted less than a year.

Of late, I tried to paste some wide clear cellophane tapes across the board after cleaning the board a thorough clean. And gosh...writing onto the cellophase tapes was easy so was the cleaning.....The tapes I used were 6cm wide and taping them across the board one next to the other created some sort of writing lines too.

A great discovery....should be great to apply onto new whiteboards.

Vic...unfortunately mine is the reflective grade..but the angle of sight is away from the reflection so its okay... as it is.... i could still wipe of after leaving the ink on for 3 days...

About coffee...sure, the aroma is great...but since I dont write with permanent marker...there is no need to use coffee but thanks anyway

Someone used permanent markers on a few white boards in the office, and short of finding solvent for cleaning, I improvised with coffee. It worked. Plus, it gave off a wonderful aroma.

Great idea. But are you using the non-reflective clear tape? Otherwise, you can get some sort of glare off the board if the light hits it wrong.
