Easter Surprise!

Usually the parents or elderly prepare surprises for their , like hunting easter eggs, toys or chocolates. With my little ones, our grandma does that job, they get much that becomes a normal thing, makes me less enthusiastic at times to prepare, sounds routinary at times....

Well I didn`t.. so the surprise me. As I wake up this morning, they let me hunt in our little garden something they created last night(was already wondering why they keep their eye on me at the kitchen, hi,hi,hi)

A necklace made of buttons, a card and some drawings, all with lovely thoughts

I was so touch and at the same time, feel a bit bad

"Oh don`t worry mom! we had enough from Oma"" my eldest told me "you`d been so nice and loving to us and we thought of making you happy!"

They have no idea oh how much they made my day!!

Ok Lemon, give you a little bit of background, according to my own understanding of Easter..

The real meaning of Easter centers on the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, God's Son, from the dead. Resurrection is a special word that describes what happened to Jesus Christ, after He was crucified, died and was buried. It means "to revive, to live again, to come out of a state of death."

HOW? on the way to the tomb, an angel appeared to his friends and telling them the good news that he is risen!!

Through Christ's resurrection, Christians are given a new life, a wonderful miracle occurred that day, for you, for me and for every person in the world.

..for if he had remained dead, remained in the grave where he was buried, his death would have been meaningless, but...

...ON THE THIRD DAY, JESUS ROSE FROM THE DEAD, DEMONSTRATING THAT HE WAS GOD AND THAT HIS VICTORY OVER SIN AND DEATH WAS COMPLETE.

That was the first Easter

Now what is the relation of eggs or bunnies? For many years people have used eggs to symbolize rebirth and abundant life. Throughout Europe it has been customary to give colored eggs to friends and family at Easter.

Rabbits are popular during Easter time because they are a reminder of spring and the new life that is abundant during springtime and were considered the most fertile animals known and they served as symbols of the new life during the spring season.

The bunny as an Easter symbol seems to have its origins in Germany, where it was first mentioned in German writings in the 1500s. The first edible Easter bunnies were made in Germany during the early 1800s. These were made of pastry and sugar

Yes Ric, considering the path we went thru. My only regret is no matter how I try, I could never be a father to them at the same time..and they deserve more...

Thank you so much for your kind words Ric, soo encouraging and soo motivating. Nice to hear from a father`s point of view.

"And no doubt your male friends are the kinds of men who make great role models""

you`re right...more than a year ago, had a friend from UK who came to visit me. He, never been married but has a teenager daughter also. He played with the kids almost the whole weekend during his stay. He was so nice and gentleman, unfortunately, that time, I was not ready for any relationships,(still fighting for custody), so we ended up just friends But.. kids remembered him very well, miss him at times. He gave a dog, err stuff toy, to my little girl and bec. it`s so cute, she named after him "Onkel Andy" that my girl cud not sleep without it,.. even up to now.

""I know of many families - don't we all - where it would be far better if the fathers were not present""

I guess you`re right, just sometimes I tend to be idealist, like a child, still have this fantasy of "happy family" in my mind, as I`m the only divorced in my PI clan.

It is not good for 2 people to remain together for the sake of children but there`s no love and respect anymore, IMO.
