Yellow Hankerchief, a Japanese film based on the song, "Yellow Ribbon" by Tony Orlando and Dawn, tells the story of a Japanese felon's trip to him home in Hokaido after spending several years in prison. It's a great film and a nice scenic road trip of Japan of the 1970s. I saw the movie and a few years ago I had the chance to follow the "Yellow Handkerchief" route. It was truly an awesome travel adventure. Vicky

Thanks! I am always looking for new movies to watch. Sometimes if you watch the movie with commentary (e.g., special features in Criterion Collection movies), you get some of that insight that you may not have had. jpollock
