I've had this conversation in my mind a number of times with my ex.
The problem is not with women, Asians, or Thais. The only Thai person or woman that hurt me is her.
What's the point of this?
Too often people get hurt by a man, a woman, an Asian, a Chinese lady, a Jamaican man...and they go off and swear that "they" are all bad.
In Thailand, I've heard "all Thai men are bad" way too many times from Thai women that had bad experiences with them. I've heard the same from countless foreign men who've said the same of Thai women after they had a miserable relationship.
While there are certain patterns and even true facts about certain groups, when we seperate what experience proves out as opposed to stereotypes, there is one very clear pattern about people --- there are bad and good ones in most groups of men or women.
I'm not saying we shouldn't recognize there are general negative traits in certain groups. This may or may not be true, depending on the group and the trait being discussed. However, I am proposing that you can't judge a group by the bad or good experiences you've had with just one.
Too often, people get burned, and associate some trait the person that hurt them had with what is evil or bad.
We should remember that sometimes it is not the color of their skin, their gender, or their race that made them bad....it was that they chose to be bad.
In the same way, don't be so naive to think people chose evil because they were poor, had a low education, "made a mistake", or had bad friends and peer pressure. Beyond all the excuses lies something all human beings have. It's called free will.
Too often, we forget that everyone, whatever their circumstances in life, make their own choices towards good or evil.

That's right on the money. Just because we got hurt by a lovely long tall lady does not mean that we have to hate all of those lanky dames.
It's personal and we should keep it that way. After all, the next great adventure in our life could be just around the corner or in the next blog we read.

there are good ones, and there are bad ones...that's life. We choose our friends...that's why I only have 2 best girl friends. The others, I just can't trust!
