Drone ON...

I paid my electric bill and the Energy Newsletter attachment tucked in the envelope states they (Florida Power & Light) are using small unmanned aircraft to improve service reliability.
The photo shows a man and woman looking at a very large drone and the man has a flashlight as though he is inspecting something on the aircraft.

There's a link to a promotional video to the changes they are implementing. In the video they have a few seconds showing an older DJI Phantom drone flying around to explain the drone can spot trouble on high tension poles without having to send a technician in to inspect, or as they call it sUAS or small Unmanned Aircraft System.

I'm actually surprised they down-played the term drone... as we all know those pesky drones are up to no good!
