Diana, Princess of Wales

Diana, Princess of Wales, Diana Frances Spencer, was born on July 1st, 1961 in England. Her father was John Spencer. She would celebrate her 56th birthday this month, if she is still alive. .

Diana's wedding to the Prince of Wales took place at St Paul's Cathedral on 29 July 1981 and reached a global television audience of over 750 million people. The wedding was spectacular, a fairy tale. The beautiful Princess married to a Prince and we all thought they will be happily ever after.

The marriage produced two sons, the princes William and Harry, who were then respectively second and third in the line of succession to the British throne. As Princess of Wales, Diana undertook royal duties on behalf of the Queen and represented her at functions overseas. She was celebrated for her charity work and for her support of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines. She was involved with dozens of charities including London's Great Ormond Street Hospital for , of which she was president from 1989. She was the "People's Princess" and still is.

There was a 3rd person, Camilla, in their marriage that was too crowded. Camilla was Prince Charlie girlfriend before Diana, during Diana's marriage and eventually married to Prince Charlie in 2005. I can't understand why Prince Charlie didn't love the beautiful and gorgeous virgin wife, Diana but he loves Camilla even she married her 1st husband from 1973 to 1995 with two .

Five years into the marriage, the couple's incompatibility and age difference (almost 13 years) became visible and damaging. Diana's concern about Charles' relationship with Camilla Parker Bowles also had a negative impact on the marriage. During the early 1990s, the marriage of the Prince and Princess of Wales fell apart; the event was at first suppressed, then sensationalized by the world media. The Princess and Prince both spoke to the press through friends; each blamed the other for the marriage's demise.

Journalist Martin Bashir interviewed Diana for the BBC current affairs show Panorama. The interview was broadcast on 20 November 1995. On 20 December 1995, Buckingham Palace publicly announced that the Queen had sent letters to the Prince and Princess of Wales, advising them to divorce. The agonizing divorce was finalized on 28 August 1996.

Buckingham Palace stated that the Princess of Wales was still a member of the Royal Family, because she was the mother of the second and third in line to the throne.

On 31 August 1997, Diana was fatally injured in a car crash in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel in Paris. The accident also resulted in the deaths of her companion Dodi Fayed and the driver, Henri Paul, who was the acting security manager of the Hôtel Ritz Paris. The televised funeral (on September 6) was watched by a British television audience that peaked at 32.10 million, which was one of the United Kingdom's highest viewing figures ever. Millions more watched the event around the world. She was only 36, died too soon.

We all miss her, the People's Princess, Diana.

This 1 Iconic Princess Diana Look Is the Ultimate Lesson in Revenge Dressing

Princess Diana and Prince Charles separated in late 1992 after 11 years of marriage (and scandals), and by the Summer of 1994, the 30-year-old mother of two was single and ready to mingle. In addition to being newly unattached, Diana was also a bona fide style icon. She was renowned and revered for her taste in fashion, and designers all over the world clamored to dress her for high-profile events - so when it came time for her to choose a look for an upcoming party, Diana didn't take the decision lightly. Nobody expected that the dress she would wear would become one of the most iconic moments in fashion history - except, perhaps, for Diana herself.

On June 29, 1994, Serpentine Gallery held its annual Summer soiree in London's Kensington Gardens, and Diana was due to attend the dinner being hosted by Vanity Fair. She bought a dress from Valentino, but much to her chagrin, his house released an unauthorized press statement about her look - Diana was so put off by the display of "crude opportunism" that she immediately changed her mind. Instead, she decided to wear what would become one of her most memorable and statement-making looks: a form-fitting black off-the-shoulder number by Greek designer Christina Stambolian.

The sexy LBD was actually made for Diana three years earlier, but according to Christina, the princess "thought it was too daring."

The sexy LBD was actually made for Diana three years earlier, but according to Christina, the princess "thought it was too daring." The dress, which had a ruched, asymmetrical bodice with cap sleeves and a sash at the side, hugged Diana's curves perfectly, and was perhaps her most daring and strategic fashion move to date. Why? Because Diana knew that on the same night as the Serpentine event, her estranged husband Prince Charles would officially confess to his adulterous relationship with Camilla Parker-Bowles in a televised documentary about his life and work. "She wanted to look a million dollars," said her former stylist, Anna Harvey. "And she did."

When Diana stepped out of her car to greet the party hosts and waiting fans, she knew her stunning look would make an impression (and be all over the news). She paired the dress with a monochrome choker and pearl earrings; simple, elegant accessories that aided - and didn't distract from - the look, an ensemble that was much more brazen than anything she had worn in the past. Auction house boss Kerry Taylor, whose company auctioned off 10 of Diana's dresses in 2013 - further explained the significance of the moment in a documentary about the late princess. "We called that 'The Revenge Dress,'" Kerry said. "While some would have been like, 'I can't face it this evening,' Diana went out in that dress looking drop dead gorgeous. She made a big statement right there."

While we tragically lost Princess Diana in a car crash in August 1997, her legacy lives on in her two sons, Princes William and Harry, her endless dedication to philanthropy, and yes, her elegant (and sometimes daring) sense of style. Diana's smart, sexy LBD will go down in the books as one of the most audacious and deliberate examples of revenge dressing.

Kayra,

The Way Prince Charles and Camilla Met Was Pretty Common - With a Twist

Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles's highly publicized, scandal-filled relationship began how most do: at a party. In 1971, Charles and Camilla, then Camilla Shand, were introduced at a mutual friend's event by none other than Charles's college girlfriend, Lucia Santa Cruz. Lucia, the daughter of the former Chilean ambassador to London, was said to have carried on a brief but passionate romance with Charles while he was studying at Cambridge University years earlier and insisted that she had "just the girl" for the prince before hooking him up with Camilla.

While chatting at the party, they soon discovered a shared love of polo and being outdoors, and Camilla reportedly made a joke about her great-grandmother Alice Keppel having had an affair with King Edward VIII, telling Charles, "My great-grandmother was the mistress of your great-great-grandfather. I feel we have something in common." The two began dating almost immediately, meeting at polo matches at Windsor Great Park, where Charles often played - but the two split right before the prince left for the Royal Navy. When he got back eight months later, Camilla was engaged to Army officer Andrew Parker Bowles.

Camilla and Andrew tied the knot in 1973, and though the two stayed close, Charles began a relationship with 18-year-old Diana Spencer in 1980 (after dating her sister first, of course). He popped the question after only 12 dates, and even though the two were married in 1981, Diana had suspicions that Charles and Camilla had rekindled their romance behind her back - and the fact that Camilla was in attendance at their wedding didn't exactly quell those fears. And to celebrate the nuptials, Charles decided to buy gifts for a dozen of his close friends, including Camilla; he bought her "a gold bracelet personalized with a blue enamel disk engraved with the initials 'GF.' The monogram stood for 'Girl Friday,'" Charles's nickname for her.

By 1986, Charles and Camilla's affair had hit a fever pitch, and in 1989, Diana famously confronted her husband's mistress at a 40th birthday party for Camilla's sister, of all places. Despite her brazen attempts at getting Camilla to back off, Diana and Charles's marriage continued to falter - and by 1992, they had officially separated. In a televised BBC interview three years later Diana made the infamous statement, "There were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded." Shortly after, Queen Elizabeth II ordered Charles and Diana's divorce, and what was done was done. Diana tragically passed away in August 1997, and Charles and Camilla quietly continued their romance. The queen believed they should go public, so they formalized their relationship by attending Camilla's sister's 50th birthday party together in 1999. Elizabeth gave Charles and Camilla permission to marry in 2005, and during a speech at their wedding reception said, "My son is home and dry with the woman he loves."

I think Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine (Kate) Middleton married to Diana's son, Prince William will be happily ever after. Kate will have much fortunate marriage than Diana. Prince William won't commit "triangle extramarital affair" as his father did.

The Prince Charlie and Camilla love affair caused two marriages failed. Prince Charlie should marry to Camilla in 1971. Camilla shouldn't marry Andrew in 1973 if she have love affair with Prince Charlie. Of course, we all know Prince Charlie is the first heir of British monarchy, the money, power, ... will come if a woman married to him.

Since Camilla already married to Andrew, Prince Charlie shouldn't see Camilla. Prince Charlie was the most eligible bachelor at that time, he could marry any beautiful virgin girl. Originally Prince Charlie dated Diana's sister, but then Diana was more attractive. Queen Elizabeth II wanted to stop Prince Charlie to see the married woman, Camilla, so "Her Majesty" approved Price Charlie to marry Diana.

Prince Charlie married Diana, he should stop seeing Camilla. They both in their marriages, but they committed "extramarital" affair. Prince Charlie admitted that he committed "adultery" with Camilla, when the divorce with Diana was a "soap opera" drama. Queen ordered them to divorce. Queen wanted Diana to keep her royal "title", but Prince Charlie insisted Diana can't have her "title". Diana used to cry inside a bathroom and Prince William used to put napkin (tissue) through the bathroom door and told his mom, Diana, that he will give Diana's title back when one day he becomes a King.

Prince Charlie and Camilla's love affair caused two families broken. I have no idea what kind of charm Camilla has that attracts Prince Charlie so much. Camilla is not as beautiful as Diana, but she won Prince Charlie. Camilla is the most hated woman in the England. Bar none.

Diana has won all the people's hearts EXCEPT her husband, Prince Charlie. There are many rumors that Prince Charlie still called Camilla the night before Diana's wedding and during the honeymoon with Diana. Diana became very frustrated and jealous. Who wouldn't??? Camilla becomes Britain’s most hated woman. But Camilla won Prince Charlie's heart.

Camilla and Prince Charles reportedly met in mid-1971. Camilla married to Andrew Parker Bowles in 1973. Camilla and her first husband have two children, one daughter and one son. Camilla was in a relationship with the Prince Charlie before, during and after their former marriages. So, her first husband divorced Camilla in 1995.

Queen Elizabeth II wanted Charlie to marry a virgin girl and produce heirs of royal blood. Prince Charlie only dated Diana 12 times before they got married on July 29, 1981 when Diana was 20 years old. Even Diana was so charming and beautiful, but she didn't win her husband's heart. Prince Charlie still had extramarital relationship with Camilla. Camilla was in marriage with Andrew, Charlie was in marriage Diana, but nothing couldn't stop Prince Charlie to love Camilla. Go figure!!

Diana became bitterly that Charlie was still seeing Camilla. Diana even called Camilla once said "I wasn't born yesterday, I know what is going on." "I sent guard to kill you, look outside of your window". It was just a threaten. Diana didn't actually sent any guard to Camilla house.

Camilla divorced in 1995 and Diana divorced finalized in Aug 1996. However, Diana was gone too soon in a fatal car accident on Aug 31, 1997. Camilla ultimately married to Prince Charlie in 2005.

The fairy tale didn't end in happily ever after for Diana. Diana never got the chance to meet her daughter-in-law, Catherine (Kate) and grandson, George and granddaughter, Charlotte. A beautiful woman with sad story at end.

Princess Diana was very beautiful. I watched her wedding, the BBC TV interview and her funeral on TV with millions of people. I had been in Buckingham Palace outside of fence, in front of St. Paul's Cathedral, Tower of London, Great Britain Museum, Big Ben, .... in late December of 1995 when Princess Diana was still alive but divorced (I was in a marriage with two kids). I had wished to meet any royal family especially Diana, but I didn't see any royal member. I was with a travel agency.

Prince Charlie should learn to love Diana, but he wanted Camilla instead. Diana was brokenhearted. With Diana's charming and beauty, she failed to win her husband over Camilla.

Gone too soon. So sad.

They said Princess Diana was the most photographed woman in the world. Those tabloid paparazzi chased her, yelling "Diana, look here", "your photos can send my kids to college". Her life had been cut too short on that fatal car accident. She was only 36. What a shame!! The world lost a beautiful princess.

Time doesn't wait for anyone. It has been 20 years since Princess Diana's death, when Prince William was 15 and Prince Harry was 12. Like Prince William said his wife Kate and his son George and daughter Charlotte never had chance to see their grand-mom.

The fairy tale ended in a tragedy. So sad.

The sexy black dress Diana wore had been called "revenge dress" because her husband (Prince Charlie) attended Camilla's birthday party the night before. The next day Diana wore that sexy black dress (half peeled to show-off her cleavage).
