New to AsiaFriendFinder

Hi All, I am new here. I am a Chinese American who lives in California, USA. My friend told me this is a free dating site, but it asked me to upgrade before I can view users profile, email users and etc. However, my friend can view other's profile email people without any problem and she's not a paid user. So, I don't understand what's going on. Does anyone know why is it like that?
