Network SIZE. does it matter ?

Over the years one seems to receive many invitations ot network with other people. Somestimes it just seems like a good idea when chatting to hit the ACCEPT butt on when you meet someone and seemingly want to keep in touch in a very distant way ... hehehe

Or some people seem to want to network so they can have someone to practice ENGLISH with ...

The weird thing is seeing a person you have networked with in a chatroom here and find they don't want to chat again.

Does this make any sense to anyone ?

Also then one's network can seem huge but in fact, the number of people that one knows or chats with can be a very limited number.

Then you find that people can get the wrong impression about one being a "flower heart" or "fah sum" ... which in reality is the farthest from the truth LOL

My suggestion is, if you want to build a network of friends, be honest about it, and mean it. Dun just invite all kinds of people to build up some large numbers.

This whole Asia Friendfinder thing will not work well if people dun want to really get to know each other ... after all the world can be a nice community or friends, if we choose to make it so.

I wish you all love, happiness and success ... take care.

A friend has passed away ...

I am deeply saddened by sanfranciscoboy's passing in a freakisk traffic accident I understand.

He and I had met in San Francisco and his zest for life was apparent form the get go.

His quick wit and sarcastic tongue had me in stitches in our real life meeting along with another pal, hotdragon, and that was his trademark in our fun chats before that and after that in the english chat room.

His deep love of country and family were readily apparent. As he served his country without hesitation even answering Uncle Sam's call when most had called it a day and retired to a more sedentary life style.

I have caught a glimpse of his life through a couple of relatives of his, who happen to be members here, and feel quite blessed to have known him and also members of his extended family.

My heart also goes out to Dalina at this time as well.

Rest in peace my friend and "thanks for the memories"

It is quite noticeable that the very young (18 - 20 ) or the very old (50 + ) have not an easy time in the chat rooms.

Often one is ignored completely, of brushed off after a perfunctory "hi" or some are even rude enough to simply ignore a friendly "hello" and leave the chat room almost imperceptibly.

We all have feelings young and old ... why not just be friendly ?

No one is asking to get married with "hello"

Best city to live in ?

It has been an interesting observation that Zurich and Vancouver have been voted for a few years now as either #1 & #2 or # 2 and #1 as the top cities in the world to live in.

I believe this is based on safety, green spaces, transporation, cleanliness, economic and political stability, managed growth, etc.

Do you happen to agree ? Which city do you feel is the best one to live in and why ?

Anyone met their match here ?

After pondering the pros and cons of LDR (long distance relationships) I got to wondering if anyone here has actually met their match and managed to sustain a long term relationship.

How can one really manage a relationship here on Asia Friendfinder unless one party or the other moves to another country to be with the other half ?

So far, I have attended a couple of weddings of Asia Friendfinder friends and they are doing great, but have seen many relationships fall by the wayside in the mean time.

Is it possible to keep the magic and intensity alive ?

PSP or DS Lite ? Which is better ?

After the Christmas season, time to look for a fun way to pass the time.

I was thinking of either PSP or DS Lite ?

PSP is cool becoz you can watch movies, listen to MP3's, download movies and games to the PSP and there are some sports games.

DS lite looks fun with Mario games, Brain Games, a touch screen, automatic wifi to play with other DS users ... and good quest games like Final Fantasty, etc.

I wonder which is better ? Price is almost the same ...

Does anyone have any opinion ?

I don't know much about additional memory, downloadng games or picture quality on either ...

Tell me what you think !

I wonder if this means flowerheart ?

Does having a large network of friends imply that a man is a flowerheart ?

Flowerheart in Chinese normally means something like "playboy" or "playa".

Having friends networked here should just mean that on the surface right ?

Sometimes we are invited or invite others to somply converse in english in the chat room, share common interests or could be simply a link with a close friend, that one does not want to lose in all the oceans of different handles coming and going here.

Over the past years since 2000, there have been some really fine people that I have met for instance, here and in real life.

Some have invited me to be networked simply to have an english chat partner

Personally, I enjoy making friends here.

Some people think that seeing a big friends list, means something else

Do you agree or disagree ?
