The legend of the red thread of fate originates in China, whispering of a preordained connection between souls. It speaks of a benevolent deity named Yue Lao, the Old Man Under the Moon. With a kind heart and a mischievous glint in his eye, Yue Lao spends his days amongst the moonbeams, overseeing the tapestry of human relationships.

According to legend, on the day a person is born, Yue Lao ties an invisible red thread around their pinky finger. This thread stretches out, thin and magical, across mountains, oceans, and even time, leading them to their destined partner.

The red thread is said to be unbreakable. It may tangle or stretch thin with distance and trials, but it can never sever the connection between soulmates. This doesn't necessarily mean a smooth path to love. The red thread simply ensures an encounter, a chance for the two souls to find each other, no matter the circumstances.

Some believe the red thread can connect not just romantic partners, but also soul friends and those who play a significant role in our lives. Each encounter, each relationship, adds a new thread to the intricate tapestry woven by Yue Lao.

The story of the red thread offers comfort and a touch of mystery. It whispers that we are not alone on our journeys, that somewhere out there, another soul is connected by an invisible thread, waiting to be found. It reminds us that even the most unexpected encounters could be a twist of fate, a tug on the red thread, leading us closer to our destiny.

Well, here I am alone without my spouse Wenyin who passed away last year 2022.

I am not sure what I want to do. Stay single? Remarry? Or just let the time pass and don't worry just be happy!

What do you think?

I get along with most people. These days, I tend to prefer Asian people. That is my bias. Maybe I was Chinese or Korean in my former life.

I worked out of the country (US) for many years and would like to live in Asia now.

Most people want to immigrate to the US but I don't understand why.

Now I just want to chat with my peers.
