My Blog

My Blog is just about me, my thoughts, feelings, imagination. And about people I Love (my dogs included), as well as things I like to do. Some come from real life situations and some just, as I wrote from my imagination. It's all in good fun.

What if we go through life and never find that someone who is best suited for us? I worry about this a lot. I mean, if I'm too shy to talk with others or if I don't make eye contact one day I could mess up a relationship of a lifetime.
For example, Jane Austin never married. She wrote some of the best loved classic love stories ever but never found love herself.
With men being visual as well, I worry that that's all that they judge me by. Many men do. They will write off a woman if she has this or that physical trait before even talking to her. Yes, I listen to what men say to each other, haaaa.
And I worry about the inverse. The men who do think I'm attractive only want me for one thing and wish no relationship attached to that. Sometimes I think the plain women have all the luck as men take them seriously.
Just think how wonderful it would be to have someone to wake up beside, to share good and bad things with that happened during the day, to say to, "Hey do you want to go to the (movies, mall, restaurant)" any time.
Big Sigh

I'm Swinging in the Rain, Just Swinging In the Rain

Yesterday I took my to the zoo. At one exhibit we saw a family of orangutans. It was raining and each family member seemed to act similar to the way humans do when in the rain. The father sat in the house looking grumpy. The mother was out watching her play. She not only put a sheet under her feet. She had one around her. From afar she would have looked like a little Russian Babushka woman. The baby of course was having fun swinging from rope to rope in the rain. Of the three, the baby seemed to have the right idea. Too bad we get so stoic as we age. Staying young means swinging in the rain.

Worse Than Ants In My Pants

I was done for the day yesterday, so I went out to the clothes line and got some cotton pants. When I put them on when I realized that I had to get something out of the car. On the way back I felt something either stinging or biting me. I wanted to take off my pants right there in my front yard, but thought better of it. Inside the house I threw everything down and ripped off my pants. Out flew a wasp. Yeow!!!
I texted my best friend and she typed back, "You are having a party in your pants? Ice, Ice Baby!"
Obviously she was drunk, but the ice was a good idea.

Well, how do I word this. Let's see, I was working as a teacher at a horrible place. That's not an exageration. Anyway, this guy there seemed to take an interest in me. He'd stop his class a little early and just stand in his door looking into mine. Sometimes I'd close the door. LOL! So horrid, I know, but I liked another guy. Anyway, now I regret it. I've begun to see how charming and sweet he is. But now the problem is, he still thinks that I like the other guy. So today he just handed me some stuff that I'd left at work and walked off.
Barely said two words. I'd overheard him say that he didn't want me if I was still seeing that other guy. But I was never seeing the other guy. I think he doesn't even want me talking to him. I don't want to talk to that guy though and I don't know how to let the guy I like know. And if I say the word "guy" one more time I'll explode...haaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I got an email on another site from a guy who wanted to plant a seed in my garden....Okay, we all know what he means, but he's not the first to write this same thing. What do these guys get together and conference on the Internet way to tell a woman you want her to have your baby? I thought only women said stuff like that.
Guess I've got to do some weeding out the strange guys. Ha!
Of Note: I thought about deleting this entry as I've begun to fall for this guy, but given that he's got a good sense of humor, I think he'd enjoy it. Also "Pride and Prejudice" was based on first impressions and how misleading they can be.

Why Do I always Get The Rough Jobs?

What's been going on? Well, let's see. I had a with mental retardation who kept trying to choke me and the other workers. I spoke with my boss about it and asked off the case. She refused to take me off and said we'd bring it up at a meeting. At the meeting she didn't say a word about it, I did but got written up for it. Well, at least I'm not being choked anymore. I also have another job interview on Thursday. It's for about four more dollars an hour. Still not as much as I used to make, but I'd be moving back up the ladder at least. Oh, and I'll be able to breathe, lol! In the interim, I still have one other that's wonderful.
Well, this I think is worse than working with the gang members from Philly that I taught for a month. Odd that they would try to rip each other apart, but at least had respect for women teachers. I was actually safer around the murdering .
Oh, and don't forget the almost four years of mobile therapy I did with and teens with mental diagnosises.
Boy did I pick the wrong majors in school.....

As to romance, well I haven't got any right now. There were a couple of guys at my last job who seemed interested. There's one I still see around town. He seems upset that I quit though. Maybe he'll get over it.
On line, there's a guy I talk with, but when you've never met, it can't be real. At least not yet.
To this date, 115 men have said, either "I love you or I want to marry you." Most of them were from the Internet. Kinda makes me doubt the sincerity of men or wonder where all the good ones are. Anyway, how's your love life?

Why do I always get the crap jobs?

I just quit my job working as an English teacher at a residential treatment facility for mostly gang members from Philadelphia. Right before I started working there a therapist had molested some of the teens. Then just last week a Unit Staff(staff who spend all day/night with the teens) molested her unit of teens. Then a couple of days later a ran away. The police were not even called. And Administration's response to this was to fire the principal. Okay, I don't get it. The Education Department had nothing to do with the Therapy Department or the Unit Staff.
They said he didn't follow procedure on a few things. I found out later that he spoke unfavorably of the molestation cases and Administration's response to it and well he should have. It was the people in Admin. who should have been fired, especially The Director. Anyway, I gave them my two weeks that day. The Director however did not have the integrity to honor this and told me to turn in my badge immediately. That's fine, it's better than risk my teaching certifications at that crazy place. It's sad when you are more afraid of administration than the murdering teens you have to work with.

I'd heard on T.V. that Thomas Edison failed 1998 times before figuring out how to harness electricity, so I don't feel so bad. I wonder if I'll have his patience though with my endeavors.

Okay, I did it. I took the plunge and started my own business. I filed for a non-profit tax exempt EIN number today. Yeah! LOL!
I've got the paperwork for the business done. I bought office supplies today. I even spoke with a guy who can rent me a two room office. I'll go see it tomorrow.
As to employees, I put an ad in the local paper. Now I've got to get a small business loan or a goverment grant. Wish me luck! What a way to start out the new year, eh?
