I am quiet and shy by nature; introverted, detached, and self-sufficient; a loner who most of the time keeps to herself by choice. That does not mean I am socially awkward though. I communicate well and can be pleasantly sociable if needed, but I do not like crowds and parties in general. I can be lively and playful around people that are good friends or loved ones. I enjoy reading serious literature, or books on aesthetics, philosophy, the arts, etc., but no popular best sellers. Love good thought-provoking films, too. I love nature and adventure. Alaska is my favorite place in the world so far. I love anything associated with nature---flowers, trees, mountains, the ocean, the rain, the snow, everything, and I want to stay close to it. I adore beauty, and I think it has nothing to do with fashion or wealth. I usually enjoy my peaceful and quiet time alone, or with good company, some intelligent conversation, a leisurely walk in the woods, etc. Solitude defines the greater part of my life, for now. I also like hiking, camping, travelling, photography, cooking, gardening, and beautiful music.
My Ideal Person:
I prefer someone who is kind, gentle, and quiet, but not dull. Intelligent and yet modest. Someone who has good taste and is thoughtful, mature, and wise. Someone who has a good sense of humor and can be equally calm in the face of life's ups and downs. Someone who does not swagger because he has achieved fame and fortune, but maintains a detached view. It does not matter what degrees or titles he has. Years in school do not necessarily mold one's personality and outlook for the better, and education only provides knowledge, but not wisdom. I believe there are some innate qualities, marks of true excellence as a person, such as insight, compassion, and wisdom, which have nothing to do with worldly standards of success, and which you either have, or you don't.
