To my future intimate friend ....
Boys conversing about intimacy on the internet will still try to whet your appetite by confusing making love with real love. So let’s describe one of my favourite scenarios: you fall asleep on an overstuffed couch, your head resting on my thigh, my legs wrapped around your back and shoulders ... then I could run my hand through your hair, massage your temples, cup one hand at the base of your skull, tilt your head back, lean forward, reach up and inhale your entire earlobe, run my hands down your chest, massage your shoulders and upper back, my toes and fingers caressing you. Waking up to kiss me, you’d be competing with a mouthful of mint chocolates and red wine. I’d be attempting to reach as many pulse points as possible --- ankles, knees, inner thighs, wrists, neck. What are you to make of me?
Boys vs. Men:
1)Men know the value of kisses that extend all day into the night and ravish the entire bodies of both. Adults don’t need an excuse to stay in bed all day. Boys view kissing as a necessity to get into a girl’s pants.
2)Men know how important patience and forgiveness are as bodies collide and adjust to each other. Boys just want to know how soon they can enter you.
3)Boys don’t worry about smelling good. If they are clean that’s a bonus. Men let themselves be coaxed after a workout to lie down and relax and be made love to, that sweat and heat and desire are so sexy co-mingled.
4)Men are equally comfortable with talking or silence. Boys can’t get their mind around a state of restfulness, stillness and peace. It sounds boring to them.
5)Men don’t brag about their assets.; their success is earned, appreciated and admired. Boys, unfortunately, do brag about their assets --- physical, financial or what great personalities they have. That usually indicates a serious defect somewhere.
6)Men accept a woman’s imperfections and find them endearing and they let their own imperfections see the light of day. Boys believe themselves God’s gift to women.
7)Men appreciate the art of seduction --- be they the seducer or the seduced --- lips encased in lace, nipples erect through the sheerest fabric. And men co-operate --- when they wear robes and let themselves be caressed by constantly roaming hands exploring every indentation.
8)A man will lie slathered in oil on his stomach, legs astride him, as one leans forward, running their elbows up and down either side of his spine, using your weight to achieve just the right amount of pressure to a tense aching body. You’ll end up coated in oil yourself ... perfumed, slick from undulating back and forth.
9)Boys just want to rip your clothes off. Boys don’t get that love is mischievous [ unexpectedly licking from stem to stern all exposed skin in a public place], raucous [sucking ferociously on fingers or whatever else may be offered up], full of ribald hilarity where you can’t stop laughing and don’t want to.
My Ideal Person:
I am a carnivore for touch, I can’t get enough of it, but it’s the after effects of intimacy that consume me ... to rest my entire palm on one’s forehead, or curved around their neck while sleeping, or hands pressed in the small of the back or tucked under the knees ... hands pressed against your chest to feel your heart beating, against the abdomen to hear the diaphragm move in and out ... that wonderment of life.
