Please forgive my stream of consciousness ...
My values are traditional, although I am considered to be a bit of a maverick ... been a founder at a few of startups, although currently W2. I am affectionate, passionate and oh, BTW ... I have been divorced about 6 years.
I am positive, highly motivated, highly educated: a program manager, have degrees in electrical engineering, system science, and a PhD in mechanical engineering. A senior manager at Stanford University on Gravity Probe-B for several years. I just changed jobs: now a director at an engineering company.
I am more spiritual than religious (went to Catholic Sunday school as a child). Have a sophisticated sense of humor, but enjoy a good joke (I bet I can make you laugh). Middle of the road and have no allegiance to either (or any) political party.
My interests are eclectic in most aspects of human endeavor: some arcane, some mundane. I adore women with strong will, considered opinions and vivid vision of the future.
Have a few patents. Higher scores in creativity than innovation, though. I can carry a tune at karaoke. Ninety-ninth percentile on SATs. Prefer savory rather than spicy foods.
And at the risk of having you think that I am an egghead, my friends describe me as a right brain scientist. I enjoy photography (glamour mostly) and do some woodworking. Also an instrument pilot (I can fly in the clouds) and own a Cessna 172. I am a pretty good musician (guitar mostly) and studied jazz, played in the orchestra. Enjoy rock, classical, country, etc. Never been good at doing things in a casual way.
I do enjoy cooking. My mother's family is Italian (they teach their sons to cook). My ex claims she married me for the recipes (LO . I go for Japanese cuisine, Chinese and Italian. So, let's get together and cook something!
Mutual admiration and respect are the keystones to a lasting relationship. I am looking for the kind of love that sustained my parents through 60+ years of marriage. Dad was VP of R&D at a large pharmaceutical company. My mother taught college chemistry but is an artist/interior decorator.
I have 3 sons (21, 19, 16). The oldest is living in Chicago. Second son is in college. The youngest lives in Michigan with his mother. By the way, the fresh water fishing there is terrific. Two brothers (both attorneys) and a sister (a college professor).
My Ideal Person:
I am looking for a motivated professional woman with a good sense of humor, grown up kids and the desire for adventure.
A companion as socially versatile as I ... someone comfortable wearing jeans to a rock concert or formal wear to the opera. You are socially demure, romantic, sexually assertive, pretty, slender, smart. Someone who enjoys ballroom dancing, fine dining, intelligent conversation, and flying. Lives an enthusiatic life.
