Wise men say Only fools rush in But I can't help Falling in love with you.
Shall I stay Would it be a sin If I can't help Falling in love with you
Like a river flows Surely to the sea Darling, so it goes Some things are meant to be
So take my hand Take my whole life, too For I can't help Falling in love with you
Some things are meant to be
Take my hand Take my whole life, too For I can't help Falling in love with you
For I can't help falling in love with you For I can't help falling in love with you

When the night has come And the land is dark And the moon is the only light we'll see No I won't be afraid Oh, I won't be afraid Just as long as you stand, stand by me
So darling, darling Stand by me, oh stand by me Oh stand, stand by me Stand by me
If the sky that we look upon Should tumble and fall Or the mountain should crumble to the sea I won't cry, I won't cry No, I won't shed a tear Just as long as you stand, stand by me
And darling, darling Stand by me, oh stand by me Oh stand now, stand by me Stand by me
Darling, darling Stand by me, oh stand by me Oh stand now, stand by me, stand by me Whenever you're in trouble won't you stand by me Oh stand by me, oh won't you stand now, stand Stand by me...

Situation Room: 2 photos capture vastly different presidents

Two high-risk raids. Two dramatic moments in the White House.
Photos taken in the White House Situation Room during the killings of Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi on Saturday and of al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden 8 years earlier capture the vastly different styles of two American presidents.
The White House on Sunday released a photo of President Donald Trump with five of his senior national security advisers monitoring the Saturday night operation against al-Baghdadi in Syria.
The photo shows the six men, all in dark suits or military uniform, posing for the camera and staring straight forward with stern expressions as they sit around a table. The presidential seal gleams on the wall over Trump's head.
The photo invites comparisons to the Situation Room photo released by President Barack Obama's White House following the May 2011 operation in which Navy Seals killed bin Laden.
In this unposed scene, 13 faces are fully or partially visible in the crowded tableau.
Obama, wearing a polo shirt and light coat, is hunched forward and perched on a folding chair slightly off center. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the most expressive face in the group, holds her hand over her mouth as Defense Secretary Robert Gates sits next to her, his arms tightly crossed.
The Trump photo, with the president in the center and looking severe, is more formal and captures the current president's interest in conveying the power and grandeur of his office. It also reflects the tight circle of advisers from whom he solicits advice.
To his right are national security adviser Robert O'Brien, Vice President Mike Pence and Defense Secretary Mark Esper. To his left are Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Brig. Gen. Marcus Evans, the Pentagon's deputy director for special operations and counterterrorism.
The jumble of ethernet cables, legal pads and computers covering the boardroom table stands in sharp contrast to the formality of the moment.
Compare the two photos below.

A wealthy man was having an affair with an Italian woman for a few years. One night, during one of their rendezvous, she confided in him that she was pregnant. Not wanting to ruin his reputation or his marriage, he paid her a large sum of money if she would go to Italy to have the . If she stayed in Italy, he would also provide support until the turned 18. She agreed, but wondered how he would know when the baby was born. To keep it discrete, he told her to mail him a postcard, and write "Spaghetti" on the back. He would then arrange for support.
One day, about 9 months later, he came home to his confused wife. "Honey," she said, "you received a very strange postcard today." "Oh, just give it to me and I'll explain it later," he said. The wife handed the card over and watched as her husband read the card, turned white, and fainted. On the card was written "Spaghetti, Spaghetti, Spaghetti. Two with meatballs, one without."
p.s. As a reminder, I am NOT the original writer of all the "Weekend jokes", so I am NOT responsible for them. Those "weekend jokes" are from my Las Vegas real estate agent weekly.

There is "an elephant in the room" but nobody wants to talk about it .... You know it, I know it, but nobody post blog to talk about it.
THE ROUGH transcript of President Trump’s July 25 with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky prompted a debate about whether, in pressing for politicized investigations of alleged Ukrainian interference in the 20 and 16 election and of Joe Biden, Mr. Trump dangled rewards for Mr. Zelensky as a quid pro quo. In our view, the transcript contained at least a hint that Mr. Trump was linking the “favor” he wanted arms sales, and clear evidence that he was tying it a White House invitation.
That conclusion is now confirmed. messages among U.S. diplomats and a Ukrainian official released by House committees definitively show that not only did the Trump administration seek extract Ukrainian promises of political probes in exchange for a summit meeting, but also they spent weeks negotiating the deal both before and after the Trump-Zelensky .
There was no lack of clarity on either side. “Heard from the White House,” U.S. special envoy Ukraine Kurt Volker texted a top aide to Mr. Zelensky on July 25, just ahead of the . “Assuming President Z convinces Trump he will investigate/ ‘get to the bottom of what happened’ in 20, we will nail down date for a visit to Washington.”
About two weeks later, amid negotiations over what, exactly, Mr. Zelensky would say in publicly announcing the probes, the aide, Andrey Yermak, texted Mr. Volker: “I think it’s possible to make this declaration and mention all these things. . . . But it will be logic to do after we receive a confirmation of date.”
In the end, the deal did not go through. Instead, the record shows that Mr. Trump and his retainers kept raising their demands, like a casino developer squeezing a plumbing contractor.

In an angry and impassioned speech the U.N. climate summit Monday, Thunberg denounced world leaders for their neglect of the threat of global warming.
“This is all wrong,” Thunberg said, reading from a piece of paper. “I shouldn’t be up here. I should be back in on the other side of the ocean, yet you come to us people for hope. How dare you.”
“People are suffering,” the sixteen-year-old continued through tears. “People are dying. Entire ecosystems are collapsing. We are the beginning of a mass extinction and all you can talk about is and fairy tales of eternal economic growth. How dare you!”
“You say you hear us and understand the urgency, but no matter how sad and angry I am, I do not want to believe that,” she added. “Because if you really understood the situation and still kept on failing to act, then you would be evil. And that I refuse to believe.”
Trump, whose administration has rolled back environmental protections and withdrew the U.S. from the Paris climate accord, was not scheduled to attend the event, but he showed up briefly, arriving after Thunberg had spoken and leaving after about minutes.
Thunberg, though, did see Trump in the hallway.

Taiwan reclaims 2016 rank as best place to live for expats.
Taiwan has once again reclaimed its No. 1 rank as the best place to live according to expats, up from 2nd place in last year’s Expat Insider 2019 Survey.
The last time Taiwan took the top spot in the survey, which analyzes quality of life abroad, was in 2016, the first year it was included. Since then it has maintained a spot in the top 5 every year.
Coming in just behind Taiwan is regional neighbor Vietnam, indicating the Southeast Asian country as an increasingly attractive destination for people resettling abroad. The third spot in the survey went to Portugal, which has consistently scored well with expats living there.
According to Expat Insider, around 86 % of expats surveyed in Taiwan have a positive view of their life here. According to respondents, major draws to the country are the friendliness of its people, its affordable cost of living, and its healthcare.
The top ten list for 2019 is as follows.
1. Taiwan 2. Vietnam 3. Portugal 4. Mexico 5. Spain 6. Singapore 7. Bahrain 8. Ecuador 9. Malaysia 10. The Czech Republic
With respondents living in 182 countries or territories, the Expat Insider survey consists of several indices: quality of life, ease of settling in, working abroad, personal finance, cost of living, and family life. Taiwan scored high marks in all categories.
Taiwan ranked third overall on the quality of life index, behind only the Iberian countries of Portugal (No. 1) and Spain (No. 2). Taiwan’s highest marks in the quality of life sub-indices were in travel and transportation, health and well being, and personal happiness.
Out of all the countries surveyed for ease of settling in, Taiwan ranked at No. 14. On the sub-indices for the category, Taiwan ranked as the No. 4 friendliest country for expats after Oman, Mexico, and Portugal. Taiwan also ranked highly in the feeling at home index and the finding friends index, but not as high on the language index (No. 38 ).

As Hong Kong entered thirteenth week protest, they want to have FREEDOM, they don't want under the China's terror, totalitarianism, and control. If you ask a Hongkonger in USA who escaped out from Hong Kong before 19 & 97, they will reply you that they are Hongkonger, they won't admit they are Chinese. If you ask a Hongkonger in Hong Kong now, there is 86 % of them want to be under British colony again. If you ask a Taiwanese where they came from, 9.5 out of 10 will say they are Taiwanese, not a Chinese. I have lived in USA for 39 years, there was a questionnaire about "race" on voting ballot, there was a checkbox said Chinese and a Other. Most of Taiwanese in USA choose Other and wrote Taiwanese on the line. I have many Hong Kong friends and Taiwanese friends, they did the same as I did on the U.S. ballot.
My ancestors have been in Taiwan for 400 years. Although I was not born yet when Chiang Kai-Shek escaped to Taiwan in 19 & 49. I knew the Feb 28 incident in Taiwan that k*lled thousand of Taiwanese in 58 days. I don't need an Aussie to tell me repeatedly that we had Chiang Kai-Shek who massacred Taiwanese. We didn't like Chiang either but they had weapons, but Taiwanese didn't. Also 58 days massacre is small scale in comparison of Cultural Revolution for a decade that million and million of people had been massacred because they were intelligent and rich people. Mao sent Red Guards (mostly rebellion teenagers) entered to school campuses, took the professors, teachers, principals, ... entered the rich landowners house and k*lled them and their relatives. Who said some justice words for those people? Nobody dared to protect those intelligent scholars because they would die with them.
And yet, the communist government not allow people to talk about the history. They think if nobody talked Cultural Revolution, the rest of the world won't know. So, they don't allow Google to tell the truth. Baidu has the censorship that approved by Chinese government. In China, there are thousand of surveillance camera at the four corner of intersection. Once you have been suspected as a protestor, they can use your face to identify you. Is this legal? Those cameras are not for traffic or accidents because police rarely care about the traffic accidents. But if you have different opinions than government, you will be caught.
There are Chinese people have been brainwashed from the textbooks and their propaganda that Hong Kong and Taiwan are part of China. Let me ask Chinese, if we are one of your provinces why you want to weapon attack us to flat for 7 days and 7 nights. We have done nothing wrong to your country. We just have Democracy education and believe in what we think is correct. We have presidential election every 4 yrs, that is our voice. Taiwan has successfully converted to a Democracy country, we have had 4 presidents that have been elected from different parties i.e. Mr. Lee, Mr. Chen, Mr. Ma and Ms Tsai. Communist is still an one party country. They have NOT learned Democracy because the leaders wanted POWER, full control their people. It is Okay to do whatever their leaders want to do in China, I don't give a d*mn. However, we have human rights to be alive, don't bomb Hong Kong or Taiwan. You will make the hatred deeper and wilder. We won't be brainwashed as a communist.
There are many many Chinese Nationalists and communist sympathizer foreigners, you are not Hongkongers and Taiwanese, you don't understand how we feel about the situation we are in. I have left Taiwan for 39 yrs, but I love Taiwan still. My relatives and co-workers, classmates, ... are living with 24 million people in Taiwan.
So, to an Aussie, you don't need to remind me who the h*ll Chiang Kai-Shek was. He came from China, spoke different language and massacre Taiwanese.
My mom was a nurse and midwife, my father-in-law was a MD, I am a pharmacist, my ex is a dentist, my is a OBGYN MD, we are all in medical field. What is our commitment? first, do no harm and improve the health and prolong the life. We don't like cruel massacre and torture people. We are peaceful persons.
An Aussie changed to a communist sympathizer since Hua-Wei CFO had been arrested in Canada and Trump tariff hike and trade war. I am a Democrat, didn't vote for Trump. What Trump said is none of my business. We have another election next year.

Referendum - The anonymous voice

Hong Kong has entered weeks protest since "extradition bill". It is pro-Democracy vs. pro-Communism battle. It is about Hong Kong 7.4 million lives and Taiwan 25 million lives in line. We can't communicate with communists because they have never had democracy education. But we know well if we give-up our "human rights", we will eventually cave-in (認輸) the communist brutality. I am not in China, or Hong Kong, or Taiwan. I am a pro-peace, pro-Democracy person. I don't want to see Democracy been beaten by communists.
In my personal opinion, I think "Referendum" is a solution for all 3 places of people: China, HK and Taiwan. We all know from the history that HK was a British colony for 99 years, they have learned Democracy and escaped from the Cultural Revolution. HK is one of top 5 harbor in the world and gateway for China. They are scared to be tortured or lock up in jail for the unfair trial, if they have different voice (political opinions). Because the fear and for the next generation, they fight for the freedom and the democracy they believe in.
China has threatened Taiwan that they will attack with weapons if Taiwanese won't obey the communists. They have been brainwashed that Hong Kong and Taiwan are part of China. If China is a Democracy country, has presidential election, freedom of speech, religion and press, respect "human rights", I think HK and Taiwan will be more than happy to unify with them. The problem is China is a tyranny country, no presidential election, they don't want people have different political opinions, the cruelty and massacres frightened us. The top leaders like to have "power" to threat people by brutality.
If we can have British or USA to intervene and let Hong Kong and Taiwanese to have anonymous "Referendum". Let HK and Taiwan to decide their fates. I know there are still have very small percentage of HK and Taiwanese pro-communism, let those small people go to China, on the other hand, let HK citizens to remain what they have been doing and let Taiwan people continue to live the way they used to live. China has a huge population, they don't need more people. To unify HK and Taiwan will cause China many and serious problems because the separations have been too long and too deep gap. The 3 places can't peaceful live one China. We have different thoughts that can't be force to change. We are pro-Democracy, we believe election is a voice for a leader, we believe bipartisan system can correct or prevent a "dictator" to k*ll people with different political opinions.
We have different background, education, thoughts, ... for many years. Let the people speak up their voice for what they want by "Referendum", a peaceful statement. Let people decide what is their lives. Respect people's wishes. Or stay in "Status Quo" and k*ck the can down the road.
I hope there is a Justice in China and respect Hong Kong and Taiwan people's wishes. It is not a good idea to unify HK and Taiwan because they won't cooperate with communists. I don't believe in violence, so don't want China weapon attack HK and Taiwan. There are too much blood in your hands. Other countries in the world are watching you!!!
