Asian women. I have talked to Asian women from the following countries (online, telephone): Philippines China Japan South Korea Thailand Bhutan Indonesia Malaysia Vietnam Japan is the only country listed above where I have a friend I did not meet through a dating site. I know a woman in Japan that sells video game music; she has helped me find a lot of rare albums over the years. It was extremely difficult for me to make any sense of some of the emails I received from Thai women. Indonesians and Filipinos have very good English; understanding them is generally not a problem. I have received an enormous amount of prank emails, of course. The most amusing was from a girl in the Philippines that asked me to help her find diamonds. She thought that because I like science, I could find diamonds rather easily. I had a good laugh. There is one thing that the women have in common: for chatting purposes. However, there is an interesting exception. A Chinese woman has never asked me to chat. They think that emails are more romantic. Filipino women are definitely the least shy and the most aggressive. My inbox (at another site) was bombarded with emails from the Philippines. Some of them would send me pictures and ask me for a relationship, without knowing anything about me. Women over here, in the United States, are definitely far less interested in me. I used to strictly use dating sites with local women. But everything changed when I decided to test out the foreign community. I suddenly became popular. A woman I know over here explained this phenomenon to me. Some Asian women think that since I am an American, I have money. And they would very much like to have some of that money. Luckily, I am immune to what are called 'gold diggers', since I have little money. |

I tend to take things well and I understand that many Asian women, including those in the Philippines, are legitimately looking for marriage. Consider this: Imagine that the internet is like walking through a bad part of town. Some of those people would try to steal from you, even hurt you physically. Some of those people would leave you alone; and some would be nice to you. I just view the internet as a fairly dangerous place. I understand I'm going to run into some bad people (like I would offline), but I will also meet some good people.

I agree with you very much about have to look out for fakes on internet especially if person say they are beautiful woman. I have very good friend who like a Filipino woman so much he fly all the way to the Philippines to meet her. That is on Monday. He back on Wednesday. Ask why back so soon. He say she is he. So I ask why not come back on Tuesday and he say he want to try out she/he first. So be careful make sure person is really a girl.

I have some stories from a free dating site 'Date in Asia'. A woman in China sent me a very long email asking me to go get some guy in Palo Alto, California. This man had said he loved her and then visited her in China. All he wanted to do was get her in bed and she agreed, since she thought he loved her. He filmed the act and then left China, leaving her as well. She was very angry and wanted me to report the man to the police. I just wished her the best of luck, since I couldn't help her, nor did I have any proof she was telling the truth. A girl in the Philippines sent me a pleading email, explaining how she needed money for college. She wanted to send me naked pictures of herself, and, in return, I should send her money. I didn't respond. That sort of thing even happens on American dating sites. That site was filled with what are called 'Ladyboys'. Some of them would state that they are not real women. Some would try to hide the fact, but they were always recognizable as such. I got numerous emails from ladyboys and deleted them. They were always from the Philippines or Thailand. I never saw a Chinese ladyboy, but I imagine they exist.
