A bone in your nose...

As , we used to laugh about National Geographic magazine photos of natives with discs in their earlobes and bones in their nose.
I guess some other were impressed by it.
More and more I'm noticing profile photos of people doing it.
Body modification... apparently it's a fad that didn't go out of style.
