Exposing the ICED TEA lie... If you know how to brew tea... it's done with hot water. Boiled water in most cases. As I go shopping in the grocery store, I come across shelves with bottles (and jugs) of tea... marked ICED TEA. Where's the Ice? I say... It was brewed hot, bottled warm, trucked into a warehouse without refrigeration and sits at room temperature on your grocers shelves. There's NO ICE in the making of ICED TEA so stop BS'ing the world. |

I did a quick search and though the known origin isn't exact it's suggested it comes from German immigrants. The 19th century Hamburg beefsteak which is similar to a Salisbury steak, the fillet was beef minced by hand, lightly salted and often smoked.
