Fish head soup... We went to the meat market on Friday and were undecided on a huge fish head to boil for soup. I convinced my wife we should get a whole fish for the fillet and make soup of the rest. We had 2 meals from one medium large ocean caught red snapper already gutted and cleaned. I volunteered to make the soup today. There were parts I wanted to throw out but I was instructed there was good meat going to waste. I never had to deal with fish head before. Honestly, I was repulsed by it, especially seeing the head of the fish bubbling around in the brew. That was the first thing I removed when I went searching for bones. Next time it's farm raised fresh-water Tilapia. No tail, no bones, sweet tasting headless white fish filets! |

I don't think I'm a fan of fish head soup. I won't say that I'd never eat it, but I won' be selecting it a an upfront choice. there are many things I don't care to eat, such as watermelon, chitterlings and various animals,Okra and other things I did have a some bacon made from a wild pig which a friend gave me. They also gave me some 'deer"meat, but I have not been motivated to cook it, I found it to be very good for seasoning black eyed peaces an cabbage and greens. I won''t choose to eat cats, dogs, horses and I don't care for duck, eel, octopus and other things. I've never tried shark, whale and such things. I would not want to raise a cow and then eat it, Its fine if someone else raised it and butchered it, but I'm not into butchering things. exceptI will cut up a chicken that buy from the store. I've heard many many things people eat, someone once told me, that Filipino's and Chinese will eat it, if it walks, swims or crawls. I saw a picture of some kind of water snake that people of Cambodia eats. When I was in Thailand, they had some kind of long eel looking creature in a tank, and I was told it was a delicacy people loved. I noticed every night that eater was full of people. I did not go there. I don't mind shrimp, but I don't like he southern craw-fish. I also don't want to see the lobster before it coked. I'm not interested in selecting it from a tank. I don't eat just anyone's cooking, I need to know the person, ( except at restaurants). I don't eat frog legs or any part of a frog, and I won't eat snake, I don't want any turtle or such things. I like simple foods, beans, greens, corn, and such, along with chicken fish (not all fish), Pork, and beef. I don't like glass noodles, but various other noodles are ok... I don't know a lot about noodles. I found years ago, all rice is not the same.

I'm told it's the collagen content as to why people eat chicken feet.
