Go fund Me...

I was researching bogus profiles when I came upon a website that offers campaigns to raise money for various causes. For example, someone who needs money for expensive surgery can ask the help of others. I'm sure most of the people there have legitimate needs.

In this case, it was a guy who claimed his wife had a job in Ghana and something went wrong so he was asking for donations to get her back home.

Thinking logically... if my wife were stuck in a foreign country and I didn't have money, I would sell off something valuable, arrange a bank loan or last resort, put the travel expense on a credit card.

Just reading the word Ghana makes my skin crawl. So... I researched the photo this guy posted and sure enough... it linked to a porn site. He was scamming people claiming he had a beautiful wife and used a photo taken/stolen from the internet.

Naturally, I did the right thing

The next time I checked, the campaign was gone!
