Please Google his speech. He urged us to pursue our dreams and saw the opportunities in life's setbacks -- including death itself. His speech touched my heart. 2. Confucius parable 3. Dear Classy Lady, I was afraid to go here and see the reply if any. So, I thanked God for a reply from you. Quote: "I believe in love (to the right person), peace and doing the right thing..." is what godly in you. This was said by Apostle Paul that the pagans have a "law" inside of their hearts and do the goodness by their own. I see I also knew a Chinese who is humanist but he was born in Harbin where the Russians immigrants lived after the revolution. He was very generous indeed. I wish people could open God as it is very high and beautiful. I see you like to educate yourself and read the bios of the famous people. I wish you would travel in Europe and everywhere, also God will send you a great man, so you will meet brand new people and they would touch your heart again as your mother were Catholic. Dearest Classy Lady, I feel the great empathy for what you have shared, that is why I shortly reply. I see you don't want to hear about the religion and get the best from life to keep enjoying it. But I am the Orthodox, so, I can't imagine God is no and to provide the irreligious outlook, help, support to what happens in our life. I live at the borderline with China at the land that was the Asian, but not Chinese, the other Asians, here it is even their stone turtle with their old language, but the Communists clean it to forget this land was Asian. Here people get married the Chinese and we have the mixed Ethnics. Nowadays the Chinese can visit with e-visa, without the troubles. Middle summer is very warm (+27C and more sometimes). We have the Chinese Saints Icon at a church. I have never seen so many Asians as recent 2 years here. For a work the companies all require to know the Chinese. I see I may make you feel unpleasant but I do not lie, I am sincere, as the Orthodox we cannot find the other "honey on soul" but only God's cross. It helps that our suffering will earn us the blessings and a Holy Kingdom. What you have shared about the experience with the church you was linked with, it is the crime and the police must investigate it. But in business here the real estate construction companies close the business and also cheat with the people for a huge amount. I see at the USA the commercial pensions were stolen by one creator of the fund. It is the matter of the civilization that the writer Ernest Hemingway wrote the "American tragedy". Here the church is for free, but also it took the 50 rubs. for a prayer of a church at the Liturgy that will cut the sins by the blood of Jesus Christ. 500 rubs. cost the 40 days prayer. 5000 rubs. for the passing away. But people give the gold crosses, jewelry to the Icons that helped them. As I am poor I do not pay nothing, I just pray at home, at a Divine Liturgy when I am at a church. But the priests have to eat too, they have the families, so people help by the charity and for their salaries by the cost of the prayer services, candles. Even the priest can be with sins as he is just a human like we, he has the blessing from God for the Confessions, Communion sacraments. The sudden death is the way people go to heaven, a way to cut the sins or just they are ready for a Kingdom. We haven't created a life, but He, so He can take us when He wants. I didn't searched this issue good, but our country was irreligious, so God sent us a war to cut the sins of the revolution of the 1917 year. A Tzar knew he will die by force with his family but he chose it for Russia to be great again. Saint Seraphim of Sarov predicted him about his death. I like the travelling too, but I guess if God wants I can use it for a good purpose to educate myself, to know new people. A travel can change the outlook. One successful person who is a millionaire, ex-business owner of the 7 corporations told me that do not need to be the same, to compare myself, I also can feel myself not great having no investments but a reply was no need to compare myself, to praise what I have, to do not judge and to tolerate others thinking you are better than others. Why it is hard to love somebody even they were imperfect, we did out best for them, but they have a free will. Let's start brand new for who is willing to love you with all of his heart, by this new marriage people serve each other and gain a Holy Kingdom too. I see you are a leader, very goal-oriented like a businesswoman. Our women are powerful too, they support their husbands and help them to find a good job. Thank you for sharing with me, I hope I would not make you feel unpleasant by this comment, anyway, I am sorry, as I discover God and I cannot just keep silence and stop talking about as I am the Orthodox. Or who I will be? I think God is in people when they are kind and loving. As I am from the ex-USSR and I was the pioneer, we visited the planet's home that was a church before, now it is a church again. We were taught to hate the capitalists by the children books and about the revolutions from the childhood. No any religion at all. Only being a bit older child at the library I was given a book about Jesus Christ, also my granny took me to a church for a baptizing being 5 y.o. On TV were a American children cartoon "Book of life". And at the literature we all have to face the religion as it is the school program, a classic Russian literature. But I started to discover only 5 years ago, before being 18 y.o. I didn't understand how at the morning prayer we call ourselves "the worst". I still in a search. Dear Classy Lady, You have done a bold deed to give your life to a your husband and became just a Christian not Catholic after before the issue with a people who stole money. (For this plot can be pictured a movie!) Can you name exactly the church what it was? Was it the sect church? You gave him your loving heart and your life, everything, children making him a father virtue. Only for this deed of pure love you can be called a real Christian, an Orthodox who patiently carried a cross loving her husband and his weaknesses! Even a church never forces us to get married a poor man as he must be first to provide for a whole family. So you have done the boldest deed in your life to purely love a person for nothing! This is the real touching thing! Nobody forced you for that, you have chosen it by yourself. And he will answer to God for you, all family and what you have done good for his life (even you and maybe he don't believe now but after the passing away from this body you and he will meet God and the Angels-Saviors which you have from the baptizing still, they must send you the right thoughts.) Yes, the USA doesn't push anybody for anything, so only a person by himself can create his own virtues (as God who also gives us the freedom to do good or bad; also God gave the freedom and the intellect to devil and the demons to serve to Him) . But the USA has the Thanksgiving day and Christmas holidays just now. They donate to the charities and allow all the nations to live in the USA. Yes, I am as your daughter's age. But I believe in God as my 90 y.o. granny gave me her pure faith. I read the miracles books and the bios of the Saints, old Orthodox books to discover the faith that was before the revolution in Russian Empire. And about the people who stole money, or about the other issues with the Catholic church or other churches, this doesn't mean it all was a biggest lie as the Communists taught us. The example of our country is a good example of such way of thinking. I know any change happens not just in one minute or year or decade. For this we have a whole life. For myself I just faced to have a faith when my dog was near death, it took me 2 years to stop crying, I still cannot face that we all will die. So the miracles book really helps me to have a faith. Whenever, NASA has new adventure to Mars, he emailed me. I have a Banker CEO friend who is a Catholic but he doesn't believe in Bible. I have an Orthodontist friend who is a Jewish but he actually is an Atheist. He has NEVER been to Synagogue. I have known him from Asia Friendfinder so he might read this blog. I have a Podiatrist friend who is a Jewish but doesn't keep Kosher food rules. He eats shrimp, crab, .... no Kosher food restriction. He goes to Synagogue only once a year. Many of my friends are Atheists. Birds have same feather flock together. Honesty is the best policy.

The Christian pastor's wife lied to the congregational church for more than $25 - 36 million USD and ran away. My ex is entitled to get 50 % of my money. They are all Christians, they are liars. God failed to stop crimes, earthquakes, hurricanes, flooding, .... The victims die first. Honesty is the best policy.

At our country, ex-USSR, irreligious, the priests and the simple religious people saw Saint Nickolas (Santa Clause) came to them in reality to support, save from hunger, death. Most of them never gave up their faith in God for even a life. To contribute the talents which we have from God is important to give the "fruits" of it back to God, but only in His honour, not for our passions (sins). A man must be powerful by his spirit, he has the extra energy and courage for it. But nowadays, the women never gave up for their children, family as they are like the men, without man's support. So, every poor woman with 3 children who gave them food, education, love is a hero as she gave all she could alone putting her children first. No more religion for me. I don't believe in any kind of religion under the pressure of the society, neighbors, or desire (or greedy) to go to heaven. I will be cremated in an urn and remain in Earth after death. I have told you my religion journey from Catholic to Christian to atheist. Many religious people are "hypocrites". How to be a nice and kind person doesn't need to go through religion. I have gone through more lifetime experience than you. So, don't try to persuade me. I have been in USA for 38 and 1/2 years. U.S. Constitution First Amendment is "Freedom of speech, freedom of press and freedom of religion". It suits me well. I don't like Communist countries that control people under one political party. I like the countries that have "Democracy" policy. Everyone has the choice how to enjoy life. I have worked hard when young. Now it's time to enjoy my life to travel. So far, I have been to 16 countries. I am fulfilling my "bucket list". Next trip to Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, and Switzerland. Life is how you make it. Honesty is the best policy.

I Googled Steve Jobs' commencement speech again. 1. Connect the dots 2. Love and Loss 3. Stay hungry, stay foolish. I admire his "perseverance", "energy", "spirit", .... His biological mom gave him up at his birth for adoption. His own company, Apple computer, fired him in public humiliation, his pancreases cancer, he had never graduated from a college, .... For many people those are their excuses for NOT looking forward, but Steve Jobs had never gave-up his dreams, his love for his works. He had succeeded and returned to Apple computer CEO again before his disease took his life. Honesty is the best policy.
