Investor vs. Speculator

Are you an investor or a speculator? Recent years more and more car makers are making EV cars. This became a trend, a fashion.

Rivian is a EV truck maker, Rivian made its debut as IPO "RIVN" on Nov 1 0, 2021. RIVN ipo pr*ce set at $78. CNBC started 2 discuss RIVN one hour before the initial opening . When the TV reporter said AMZN owns 20.22 % stake and Ford owns 1 2 % stake of RIVN. AMZN pre-ordered a hundred thousand trucks from RIVN as AMZN use for delivery. AMZN jumped 2 $3,605 just as I predicted 2 set GTC limited order s*ll at $3.600. At the time RIVN indicated 2 open at 1 1 5. When the reporter said for the past consecutive 3 yrs, RIVN's losses increased more each yr. RIVN went down t* $98. RIVN hasn't sold a truck 2 Amazon, but Jeff Bezos ride on a Rivian truck on the day he went 2 his "Blue Origin" flight 2 space.

Currently Tesla is the leader of EV car maker and became a trillion market cap. I sold al* my TSLA and made profits. Tesla currently operates out of four full-operational facilities. 3 are in the USA, and one is in China. Many Gigafactory will be coming in Berlin Germany, and more. Tesla cars are neat, chic and fashionable, but I don't like Tesla "cybertruck". Rivian trucks much appealing.

One MD told m* that his friend made profits *n RIVN debut and continuously making profits using day-trade. That MD said my stock strategy that NOT 2 trade IPO stocks is wrong. That MD's friend didn't say how much profits he made. I assume NOT MUCH and very scary ride to make profits. RIVN is still losing m*ney (no profit), no P/E ratio, no EPS (earning per share). TSLA has profits $3.09 per share, Ford has $0.72 per share, GM has $7.48 per share profits. TSLA is the "Bellwether stock" of EV cars. are other EV car makers such as Lucid (LCID) is losing m*ney with P/E ratio -0.76 (negative), EPS -5.89 (loss).

Are you a investor or a speculator? Do your homework diligently. IPO stocks have no chart for me to read, I can't know where is buying point or selling point. I have told that MD to own NVDA many times, but he didn't listen. Then he tried to persuade me 2 trade IPO stocks. I own 21 stocks now and need to concentrate on my holding. I don't want 2 trade IPO stocks.

AFF has edited my blogs 2 a point that are difficult 2 understand.

When stock market is on, my TV turns on CNBC. It is very important to know the news and opinions from CNBC. It is very important to have a "cash account" instead of margin account. You might be got "margin calls" and been forced to s*ll the stocks. You need to learn "read charts", so that you know when to b*y and when to s*ll. Asia Friendfinder has automatic censorship, so I have to use * to express the words.

I heard from CNBC last Friday, PYPL is a good company. Hold on PYPL, it will go *p. My banker CEO/Chairman friend advice will be good in the future. I trust my Caucasian banker friend for 15 and 1/2 yrs. He has entrepreneur insight. He told me he liked SNOW, so I bought SNOW. I bought small shares first, SNOW kept going down, I bought more shares till it stop going down. I held SNOW and saw it grows. I started to take some profits lately but I still hold shares.

I have done very well since last year. Every transaction is on computer, I had to p*y Uncle Sam 30 % tax last year. This year I have done good on TSLA, NVDA, SNOW, REGN, AMZN, QCOM, ... I think my profits has exceeded 1/4 million so far this year.

In retrospect of my life, I have to thank my late mom who applied "immigration" for me to come to the USA in 1980. I made big mistake to marry a lousy and lazy dentist who didn't have Green Card, U.S. citizen, Calif dentist license and only had $38.35 in his checking. He kneeled down and proposed to me in Nov 1986 when his student visa almost expired. I gave him free Green Card, US citizen and helped him passed Calif dentist license exam after he had failed six yrs. I helped him to build a dental office, but he only made $1,000 annual income as a self-employed dentist. When he made a loss of $5 thousand in 2002. I decided to file divorce in April 2004. The marriage was a mistake. I learned from it. So, scammers couldn't fool me. I have been there, done that.

A door closed, but another door opened for me. I met a banker CEO/Chairman in early June of 2006 from Yahoo Personals. He has been my best friend for 15.5 yrs. He emails, text messages, talked, about Real Estate, Stock market, politics, religion, current events, and travels, .... everything except Romance. He just wants friendship. He said he already prepared his "Will" for his two biological daughters and one adopted daughter and 5 grand-children. So, I learned to set "Will" and "Living Trust" that will belong to my daughter and son. So, scammers stay away from me, you won't get anything. I gave free advice about Real Estate property and stock market timing and what stocks to own because I have a good teacher who is very good in "Finance".

Honesty is the best policy.

In February, Churchill Capital IV — a special-purpose acquisition company (SPAC) — announced a deal to take Lucid Motors public, valuing the company at $24 billion. The company is going public "to accelerate into the next phase of our growth," Lucid Motors CEO Peter Rawlinson said.

A SPAC, also known as a blank-check company, is an alternative to a traditional initial public offering. These blank-check companies have no assets beyond cash. They trade on stock exchanges and then merge with private companies, taking those companies public.

Be care with Lucid Motors (LCID). It started to trade on July 26, 2021.
