My Job
I used to work as a secretary for this man. And ended up working for him as his live-in house keeper and a gardener.. He is single but he has a network of people connected to him....And there’s a small cottage house right next to the main house. It’s rented to a man.-----
What do you think ?

 " a network of people connected to him". Interesting, it does not indicate if these networks with people is of business or other.
Also, the man renting the cottage, maybe he is a body guard or has some capacity within the network.
It does appear that you and the man have developed an interesting procession of understanding and relation.

What does it all sum to be, I could not say.
