Oh did you? I think I may have written about the poem too under my then name. It makes you think of the line from Longfellow's poem 'Ships that pass in the night and speak each other in passing ...' I don't think of it as a Casual Encounter however - a Chance meeting and a parting between which there may be a history - I never thought of the 交会 as just a single encounter. Rather I thought of it as a casualising farewell. So it was in my case, then the poem was sent to me after a long acquaintance.

Ships that pass in the night, and speak each other in passing, only a signal shown, and a distant voice in the darkness; So on the ocean of life, we pass and speak one another, only a look and a voice, then darkness again and a silence.
