Could someone Chinese answer a question I have about Chinese poetry Part2

Your post has been denied due to the following reason: Ban*ned Topics (ha*te/wea*pons/*age). Please update your post to get it re-reviewed. Haha idiotic! Then fixing deleted words - more idiocy

T
he poem is said to stem from an affair with Lin Huiyin, and the following youtube is just for interest, providing something of the background to the affair which led to a historic and scandalous Western divorce...
Another YouTube withheld。。。

Ouran - By Chance. An extract

I am a cloud in the ,
A chance shadow on the wave of your heart.
Don't be surprised,
Stll less too elated;
In an instant I shall vanish without trace.

We meet on the sea of dark night,
You on your way, I on mine.
Remember if you will,
Or, better still, forget
The light exchanged in this encounter.

Several musical versions may be heard :

My Country

Reading and hearing My Country again after 60 years I feel it is also rather sentimental, and the insistence on the rhythmic pattern a little obvious, but the imagery is evocative.

Core of my heart, my country!
Her pitiless blue ,
When, sick heart, around us
We see the cattle die
But then the grey clouds gather,
And we can bless again
The drumming of an army,
The steady soaking rain.

is a choral adaptation, and the full poem:

Yes he did seem to play 'footloose and fancy free' - lots of affairs. He was indeed born into a wealthy privileged family. Study in America, throw it away then go swanning off the Cambridge to study something else

Just remember I have translated 偶然 in my 2016 post,

Translated by Lily20145,

Casual Encounter

I am just like one of the cloud in the sky,
Reflecting light into your heart unconsciously,
You don't need to be impressed,
Nor to be delighted,
It will be disappeared as fast as you blink, without trace.

We found each other in the pitch black sea,
You head to your direction, and I know where I have to go.
No matter if you can still remember, it's best you could forget.
The spark that ignited during this single encounter.

Oh did you? I think I may have written about the poem too under my then name. It makes you think of the line from Longfellow's poem 'Ships that pass in the night and speak each other in passing ...'

I don't think of it as a Casual Encounter however - a Chance meeting and a parting between which there may be a history - I never thought of the 交会 as just a single encounter. Rather I thought of it as a casualising farewell. So it was in my case, then the poem was sent to me after a long acquaintance.

Ships that pass in the night, and speak each other in passing,
only a signal shown, and a distant voice in the darkness;
So on the ocean of life, we pass and speak one another,
only a look and a voice, then darkness again and a silence.

I heard over conversation with a friend who studied Masters in Buddhism.
According to Buddhism, people met up for a reason even someone you walk pass by on the street. And it takes about 4,000 years to meet up someone that touched your heart and soul. If you met 'Bad' partner, possibly you have done something 'Bad' to them in your ex life so you need to pay back this life. Does it make you feel happier ?

@lily I wanted to meet you, and that missed chance in HK was - for me a sadness.
