Is it time to say GOODBYE??

All the years I have been a member, have been good years. I did a few dozen blogs, went on a few dates and made some friends.
12 years ago I traveled to China to meet a woman. We had a great meeting and I asked her to be my wife. She did and we have been married 10 years now.
To those who do not believe internet dating works. I can say it does. Not easy, but it is possible.
Since I am a standard member, I do not contact anyone beyond blogs. Is it time to say goodbye??
Honest friendship has no limits and I am willing to share any information I have found in my travels.
A few know I have relocated to a site named Connecting Singles and use the same name there. While it has a chat room, there is no blog section.
It is a free site with a few features, I suggest you try it and come to say hello and not goodbye.

How many years as this site been around?
My guess is more than thirty.
This morning, I see a new message:
"We are no longer upgrading standard members as this site will close on January 15, 2025"
This is goodbye to the many women I have met here. Goodbye to all the fun blogs.

I haven't logged in for 2 days and I see there are some drastic site changes. It appears some of my photos have disappeared.

This was the most significant decision against democracy in American history.

Doxxing is a new word for me. A description is to post personal information about someone online. That not a good thing.
I read in the news today, that after the hush money trial, an attempt was made against witness Michael Cohen to have his family doxxed, putting them in jeopardy.

I have a retired friend who watched the news all day getting the latest up to the minute results.
For me, I will listen to some evening news recap.
That should be enough as there is nothing I can say or do to affect the outcome.

For many years I was on a free site nicknamed CS and they were recently sold. They decided to merge to a pay site and all the members profiles were migrated to a new platform. More than half of these new profiles are fakes. The place no longer has blogs or discussion forums.
Everything is geared to pay to use the site and I made a comment on my profile about the amount of BS so my profile has been locked.
I am looking for a new place to BLOG now.

I was a member of another dating site that was free to send messages, blog and submit forum threads. They sold out and migrated everything to a site that requires paid membership for nearly everything... just like this place!
On the first day, the old site disappeared and the new site is up with thousands of new members. Scammers were found on nearly every page...
