It's become a weekly thing now for a conservative to say the Democratic Party will soon be dead. I say Yippee and if you know me... I take everything at value and never research anything. When I see a blog about the death of the Democratic Party, I don't have to read it... I've seen it before and before and before and before. Sorry, I had a salami sandwich and it keeps repeating.
It's about time the Democrats a Socialist party of crooks, thieves, Communists take a dive. I cannot wait and as soon as it happens, I'll be the first one to tell all of you to STFU about it. You got what you want... nothing more needs to be said. Capisce?
I got to thinking... who in the world has a single party political system?
Okay, I think I'll just Google_It_Up.
Let's see... We've got Russia, China, North Korea, Cuba, Laos, Vietnam... very cool, America shouldn't be outflanked. We need to get off the porch and run with the Big Dawgs!
I've got a few more minutes to compose this blog... wait, I see a few tidbits about a single-party systems...

It happens so often, right after I hang up with someone they appear to be calling back. I can hear rustling sometimes when they're walking sometimes I can hear them in another conversation and I know then I've been had

Middle Age...

Depending on the source, the term Middle Age usually describes a person who is between 40 and 60. On another site, I made reference to a woman in her 40's as middle age and 'got jumped' by the woman's friends.
Stating the definition from several sources including 2 dictionaries didn't sway the opinions of the complainers. Folks, I didn't make this stuff up... Anyone over 40 qualifies to be called middle age. What started this off was my blog about older women and men. Especially when the desired range is 20 years than the person who is looking.
Need some math? She's 45 looking for men 25 to 40.
Unless her profile hasn't been updated in years or so, those numbers were actually getting guys leaving complaints about her age range.
I did see another dating site was becoming a 'meat market' having a reputation as a place to make hookups, decided to change the search engine and age range so that you couldn't search or contact anyone (above or ) the range imposed by the website management. That range was something like 8 or 9 years difference. That quickly knocked any woman looking for a or a man looking for a Mommy but there was a work around in that the user could change their age to contact people who were outside of the age restriction, allowing a middle aged woman to contact a man... and vice versa.

The Beatles recorded the first version of the song Helter Skelter during the recording sessions 51 years ago on July 18, 1968. It was much slower than the album version released later that year.

I can (usually) resist cookies and donuts, but the other night in the grocery store they had Biscotti on sale... 2fer1. This style is heavy double baked unlike others that are soft and spongy.
Almond & Vanilla. I'm up to a day... okay, a day and see my supply dwindling.

A few years ago I stopped to see an old friend. He commented that I was driving a Korean car. My reply was "Korea is the new Japan"
If consumers can purchase less expensive products from another source, they will. Maybe with hesitations at first, but eventually... they will.
I remember cheap Japanese transistor radios. It wasn't the fault of the Japanese. It was the American companies designing/engineering inferior products and having them shipped here. They only made what they were instructed to make.
Same with all the low-end products made in China. They were brought here by American corporations and now the markets are flooded with products made in China.
I'm in the kitchen cabinet business and have to deal with competitors who provide products made in China. Recent tariffs on Chinese made products will soon affect what and how many of those Chinese manufacturers will survive.
We are already hearing stories of Chinese companies who are relocating manufacturing facilities into their neighboring country Vietnam. Everything goes... all the machines, finishing materials, hardware... all the way to the processing of lumber... grown in Vietnam!
What once was Chinese cabinets are now Vietnamese cabinets... without the tariffs.

Associated Press reports that Robert Mueller has agreed to testify publicly before the house Judiciary and intelligence committees on July 17. Both panels have issued subpoenas to him. There will be two hearings back-to-back (one for each committee) and they will also meet with him afterward in a closed session...

The holiday gas price gouge...

Gas prices in Florida have been fluctuating 5 +/- cents as a normal. They went down toward the end of June and shot up 21 cents on the first of July.
That could be the most significant change I've seen in a while. If I recall correctly, it was after a hurricane where flooding knocked out some refineries along the Gulf coast and gas prices jumped.

Last month, my brother went to Sicily on vacation. He's been to Italy a few times and this was his first trip to the island. He mailed out a bunch of post cards to relatives and expected it would take weeks for the mail to arrive. He was right.
Responses from cousins were all positive. Many were interested as he's continuing his genealogy quest finding 6 or 7 generations of family back to the 'old country'.
One of our cousins he's in touch with lived in New York City, retired a few years ago and recently moved to Ossining. I didn't know that name and my brother said it's where Sing Sing prison is.
Sing Sing said I... and he said "Don't you remember all those black & white mobster movies when someone was sent up the river? They went to Sing Sing Correctional Facility in Ossining"
As we were talking, I called up a map on the computer and see Ossining is a village in Westchester County, New York. It's on the Hudson River about 30 miles north of NYC, just along the train tracks.
I get it... so when they said "They sent him up the river" they were referring to Sing Sing!
