Actually, the photos aren't fake... but they don't belong to the member who is using them.
It appears ALL dating sites are affected by scam artists who use photos of movie stars, celebrities and popular adult movie stars.
This went on for years until a few websites offered reverse photo searching. These search engines scour the internet keeping a database of similar photos. When you ask them to compare, they show the websites the computer found matching photos.
This is the perfect tool when reporting scam profiles.
Probably 4 or 5 adult movie stars are always on the list that get used by scammers because there are so many photos to choose from. The world's most used/abused model is Julie. For years her everyday photos appeared on many dating sites... and continues to plague us. I found 3 of her photos yesterday.
I found Julie's personal website (a while ago) and she has a short movie appealing to everyone that it's NOT her appearing on dating sites. People keep stealing her photos and use them pretending to be an attractive woman that all the men want to meet... and who knows, it's probably some man in Accra Ghana sitting in a room with other scammers who are paid to get you to send them money because they pretend they are stuck in another country and need to get back to the USA... so they can have a love affair with you!
Julie explains on her website, a man fell victim to a scam artist and sent a large sum of money. When he realized he was tricked, he committed suicide. Now, the family of the dead man wants to sue Julie, connecting her with the person who stole the money.
That makes you think twice about corresponding with someone you haven't seen in real life... actually that has it's own set of problems. Someone I know does a lot of power-dating and many of the women in upscale neighborhoods have asked him for money... some claim their ex-husbands are late on support payments and they need a 'few hundred' to make it to the end of the month!
Wow... who needs to chase someone half-way around the world using fake photos and asking for money when you can find a real person less than 10 miles away doing the same thing!

Have you noticed the new red task bar? Of course you did... it's the one that opens the selections with white letters on a white background so it's impossible to know what is there.
I find myself looking at the lower left corner of my browser to see what weblink is under my mouse and hopefully I will make the selection I wanted.
I can't say I like surprises, especially like this one. But I think they have to find out for themselves it was a mistake. Obviously the red theme wouldn't be my choice.

As a followup (and possible closure) to my other tattoo blogs, The TV show Ink Master lured me in simply because of my fascination about people and tattoos. Personally, I wouldn't consider getting a tattoo or body modification, but I've spent a few hours watching TV and researching the many internet sites about tattoos and art.
Maybe you're familiar with the show, it's about tattoo artists competing for $100,000 prize and the title of Ink Master. I had seen excerpts of the shows on YouTube, but a short time ago was my first chance to catch full episodes back-to-back on TV.
I'm guessing there's more to the title and prize money... probably sponsorship or advertisement endorsements. Anyway, these artists are given sets of challenges over a wide range of styles and typically, the biggest obstacle is the time limit given to achieve each goal.
One episode each artist was given a new tattoo machine... in the box and unassembled. There were no instructions and no diagrams. That was the first part. The second part was to make a tattoo of a bar code. They were judged on the straightness of the lines and creating different line widths... that is, after you got the tattoo machine together. Two of the women artists thought it was unfair as each of them were unable to assemble their machines. The men thought the machine was a vital part of their trade and all did well with assembly.
With any ongoing competition there is a high amount of jealousy and arguments. One artist wasn't liked very well by the others... on one round, the goal was a Celtic design. His tattoo was clean even lines but really simple in nature. He performed this task in the allotted time. Some of the others were more elaborate and it seemed to annoy the other artists that he didn't make anything impressive... yet he won the judging for that round.
I know the show isn't new and there were/are other seasons but it seemed to me most of the artists were of the 'new school' style where they excelled in free-form cartoonish work. Or in competition, they were limited to the new style. Most compromised their work simply because of the time limits.
It's a shame the 'tattoo of a lifetime' is judged by the minutes your can perform it in.

There is a reality TV show titled INK MASTER. It's about tattoo artists who compete for a prize of $100,000. An interesting part of the show was an interview with one of the celebrity judges (and host) musician Dave Navarro. In the interview he described some of his tattoos and their significance. One tattoo is a rose with the inscription "I have one but not by choice"
As Dave explains... he was on a flight and an old woman sitting next to him was admiring his tattoos. She told him "I have one but not by choice" and rolled up her sleeve to reveal tattooed numbers from the Holocaust.
I'm guessing she must have been a young girl during the war when she and her parents were captured and sent to concentration camps.

RICE Fever...

This blog briefly touches on the subject of interracial relationships. I think the 1991 movie JUNGLE FEVER coined the phrase. It's about a black man who has an affair with a white woman.
I have seen some dating profiles of white women seeking a relationship with black men and black women seeking a relationship with white men.
Call it preference... selectivity. This is what online dating is about. Advertise what you are looking for and (hopefully) you will find it.
A few years ago I saw a 'twist' on the Jungle Fever... it was a Japanese woman, born in the US seeking a relationship with a Caucasian man. If you follow social trends, you have probably heard the phrase "Rice Burner" that refers to a Japanese made car (usually Honda) that has some performance parts and decals added to it. Anyway, the woman made a comment in her profile that she wanted a man who was attracted to her on her merits and not someone who had "Rice Fever" I take that to mean she wasn't looking for a guy who was attracted to her merely because she was Japanese.
My nephew dated a Japanese woman while in college. She was on a student visa and learned English quickly. She had the same thoughts... (in that) She would not date a guy who already had experience dating any Asian woman.
I find it odd because it seemed nice to meet someone who had an appreciation for your own culture... some connection, something in common. Maybe not an obsession but a genuine interest. I think it's something to be found in modern Japanese culture being first or not to have to compete. In a country of high population, overcrowding, competition standing out in the crown seems pretty hard to do.
Come to America and (nearly) every Asian woman is a princess. After they are here a while they begin to have a personality change as Caucasian women have a hard time competing when one Asian woman enters the room. She doesn't have to do anything to sell herself other than a display of confidence. Knowing their 'value' many become undesirable as they spend years seeking the perfect mate to match their high standards and go years without any man.
My thought is to do a follow up blog about this... soon.
That said, I usually joke that it has something to do with the water! If you have an Asian girlfriend... don't let her drink tap water!
Summary: Rice Fever is when a Caucasian is only looking for an Asian.
I'm ready to coin some other names for interracial, relationships...
Spanish women... "Salsa Fever"
Italian women... "Spaghetti Fever"
Irish women... "Clover Fever"
Jewish women... "I can never make you happy Fever"
Indian women... "Dot on your forehead Fever"
Central American women... "Banana Republic Fever"
Dutch women... "Clog Fever"
Russian women... "Vodka Fever"
More you say?
Mexican women... "Taco Fever"
Cuban women... "Mango Fever"
Jamaican women... "Jerked Chicken Fever"

The Secret Tattoo...

While surfing the internet, I saw an interesting photo. The person had a tattoo that was only visible under an ultraviolet (black) light. Researching this, I learned the ink used can be found in many places like eBay and tattoo product suppliers. It's similar to the ink on money used to verify their authenticity and can be used as a temporary tattoo or 'inked' as a conventional tattoo.
This brings up a few thoughts...
A black light would be needed when the tattoo was inked. (duh...)
Until the skin healed, the needle (scab) marks would be highly visible... and then there would probably be some signs of scarring.
A Google search brought up photos, new stories for this hot new trend and advertisements for studios who specialize in invisible tattoos.
Why would someone want an invisible tattoo?
It appears to be a trend for who want to keep tattoos secret from their parents. Maybe tattoos aren't the right things for your corporate life. When you are in a disco, it's a different world.
In the world of espionage I see it as top level security clearance. ID and badges could easily be forged. Hidden tattoos would take a long time to figure out and longer to crack.

I'm pretty selective for the applications I download into my cell phone. Most of the recommended Android apps (for me) are a waste of time. However, one recommendation that came from a sales associate at Sprint is my most used app... It's called Gesture Search.
A free product from Google that allows you to swipe letters on the screen while the app searches for a match. Very functional.
Let's say you have a phone contact Randy Willis and his company is Weston Carpet. He's a contact you haven't called him in a while... actually you forgot his name but you remembered he's a 'carpet' guy so you start to swipe C A R and (just like typing in the contact app) any contact with CAR will show up in the search.
The difference for me is it's much faster (and more accurate) to swipe instead of type.
To find it go to PLAY and type in gesture search.
Let me know if you agree that it's a handy app to have.
