This tea morning ritual is a big part of the Chinese tradition and still very famous all through out the world where a busy Chinatown place is...

A sip of tea with dimsums and delicacies, noodles, congee, etc. A part of this are Bussiness talks in between sips, settlements and arguements, family place for a weekend treat, relaxation after a morning stretch or "Tai-Chi", or reading newspaper after a walk.

American food chains and its entrepneurship is fast catching up thus posing a threat to this customary traits. Most of Chinese teenagers and young kids prefer this new trend of eating habits,an influx to all American burgers, chicken, fries, coffee and pastries. On weekends typical Chinese families now have to choose between "YUM CHA" and the long arrays of KFC, Mcdonalds, Starbucks Cafe and Pizza houses. The old reliables still prefer the usual thus a division in choice is created.

Since majority members of this friendly site are Chinese...What will it be for you on this coming Sunday Family gatherings?

Once there was a child weeping...

Not for her lost mom but for her lost doll...

Once there was a boy in pain...

Not for his daddy's whip but for his lost pet...

Once there was a friend who lingers...

Not for a visit but for an undoubtful presence...

Once there was a lady who loves a man...

Not for his gold but for his trust in her...

And once there was a man who dreams for success...

Not for himself but for his loveone's sake...

♫ Its summertime and the livin' is easy ♫

♫ Fish are jumpin, and the cotton is high ♫

♫ You're daddy's rich ♫

♫ And your mommas good lookin'♫

Small part of a song that reminds me of summer vacations, pic-nics,hikings and get together, field trips starting from the last week of March up to the midweeks of May.

Wherein the beaches are full with people wading to freshen up beating the summer heat! Some living in the midlands will take the resorts where swimming pools and overnight stay are offered. Others will go far north to the mountains where the summer capital is, Baguio city, cool climate and wonderful views awaits its yearly vacationeer and back packers!

I was with my buddy last night, and we have a couple of rounds of beer while enjoying the night races. These three lines register to my attention in our conversation about what we have passed since our mischievous heydays!

"If a man wet his shoes while on a pee", that is disaster!

"Fear not of old ages for you have serve your peers in satisfaction!" And by nature its payback time.

"Afterall these years, Life is worth living" your kins can attest to that.

One will ask where and when our limitations end when it comes to courting and pursuing someone to be his partner.

Tendencies of monotonous routines dose down the feelings and wantings once you find out that your wooing was not even taken into consideration but being dump on a trash bin.

In the middle part of the pursuit reveals some discomforts and hesitations for the fact that there seem some problems on free time and recreational wants.

The most a suitor will endure is the "hard to get" style in which a girl pretends to hide her feelings, wherein the truth of the matter is that she wants to be with your captive arms. Have you heard the cats in the roof? Well its very similar and with addtional excitement to boot.

Sad to note is that style of "buy me this and that". Of course this will not only take you to your limit but on your crying pocket as well. Worst is that in the end after all the buying spree, you found out that her feelings for you was rather platonic and not mutual afterall...(ouch!)

Long distance relationship, the only limitations I know about this one is where your patience ends! Nothing physical but all suspense and thrills that sometimes ends in wetdreams and fantasies.

Love is timeless they say...but the limits are there to stay!

The runaway best actor Philip Seymour Hoffman (Capote)in the recent concluded Oscar awards deserves it.

My first glimpse on this man was in the movie" Cold Mountain", A short part as Reverend Veasey who by chance was met by the lead actor Jude Law(Inman) on his way back in Cold Mountains, NC. Very noticeable as a cameo player in that year 2003 and now an award winning actor as the gay writer Truman Capote.

Try to see that movie again(Cold Mountain) and see it for yourself how good his portrayal was as a disgusted reverend and a sinful preacher in the final days of the American Civil War in 1864.

Toast to a good hardworking man!

We Catholic Christians have lots of commemorations regarding our faith starting from Ash Wednesday to Easter Sunday.

In this modern era, only the oldies of the believers rekindled and practice the faith about the abstinence and rituals. The youth on the other side are more liberal and free-flowing with regards to sacrifices and prayers. Unmindful of the usual traditions, they are now contented by being spectators but of times heed to the Old believers just to please and not to offend.

For me , Im still a part of the old ways, Comes Maundy Thursday and Good Friday where my annual penitence is to visit Fourteen Churches, as to complete the " VIA CRUZIS " or "The Way of the Cross". Ive been doing this for about a long time since my days in the elementary grades.

One thing I'm sure of is that it always grant my prayers , be of what I asked for. Now that I'm on the later stages of my life, My thanks to the Almighty for everything he has provided me.

I've learn that the Sun will forever shine for the believers and the non-believers. Afterall, the heritage lives on me and the family circle!

If the present destabilization plot will pursue, there's no alternative for the President but to declare the "State of Emergency" measures.

A move to secure public utilities in case of a political turmoil and these are electrical, water supply, bussiness enterprise and even media broadcast that has leniency to the anti government protestor.

Still at hope with all the best and a prayer that the government will be in control so that investors will have a safe feelings towards the economic stability of our beleaguered nation!
