D. and I still looked around about 4 more car dealers at the area and make choices amongst the best and available at least the next few days.

I decided for a family car and sort of mini bus. I want to see everything in front of me, he,he,he.

Anyway, after the contract was signed, the car dealer gave me rent a car, a 7 seater van for free use, so I can be mobile for a week and do my norms. The next day, went back again, paid the whole amount in cash so I could get the necessary papers for car insurance and registration, etc.

My good friend D. could not accompany me anymore since he will be going to Frankfurt with his wife for some business dealings.

Anyway I told him not worry, I could manage that thing already. Should not be a problem anymore except for a matter of time waiting for registration papers....

Still few days before starts of classes so I decided to drop kids to mom in law so I can think and do my thing uninterrupted...It´s also more than an hour drive expressway (one way).
Anyway, the car dealer manager told me to take my time and make no stress.

I`m suppose to go back after 4 or 5 days to give back the rented car in exchange for my new car.....

Arrived Frankfurt airport safely with kids after a long flight. It was a night flight back home which I prefer coz I could sleep and "adjust" to daytime of Germany.

I was supposed to get my car at the shop upon my arrival as agreed upon with the mechanic but to my dismay, all the wheels are still disassembled and mechanic didn`t do anything as he still need my go signal for another money repairs. Seigh, another 1,500-2,000 euros to have it done right. I already spent the same amount few months prior to my vacation.

I love my old car but I`m fed up with so much spending with repairs that could only last for few months. In short, I decided to buy another one. German government had this offer for those who will buy new car or at least less than a year old for that premium of 2,500 euros. This is in support for the more production in car industry.

This "abwrackpraemie" would last until next week.

I find it a waste of money buying a brand new car since after a year or so, you lost almost half the value of the car. Anyway, got lucky to get this 9 month old one, could avail. of the premium and still under guarantee, end of October, and paid 60% of the cost, after the premium.

Thanks to a good friend D. for accompanying me looking for right car. Now I could drive for 3 to 4 years without ( I hope so) car repair anticipation.

An old man ordered one hamburger, one order of French
fires and one drink.
He unwrapped the plain hamburger and carefully cut it in
half. He placed one half in front of his wife. He carefully
counted out the French Fries, dividing them into 2 piles and
neatly placed one pile in front of his wife.

He took a sip of the drink, his wife took a sip and then
set the cup down between them. As he began to eat his few
bites of hamburger the people around them kept looking
over and whispering. You could tell they were thinking,
"that poor old couple - all they can afford is just one meal
for the 2 of them."

As the man began to eat his fries, a young man came to the
table. He politely offered to buy another meal for the
old couple. The old man said they were just fine. They
were used to sharing everything.

The surrounding people noticed the little old Lady
hadn't eaten a bite. She sat there watching her
husband eat and occasionally taking turns sipping the
drink. Again the young man came over and begged them to
let him buy another meal for them. This time the old
woman said, 'NO, Thank you, we are used to sharing
everything".

As he old man finished and was wiping his face neatly with
the napkin, the young man again came over to the
little old lady who had yet to eat a single bite of food
and asked, "What is it you are waiting for?"

She answered, "THE TEETH!".

The Difference

Here is a good article sent by Dr. Arsenio Martin of Fort Arthur , Texas ..
Feel like sharing, it`s interesting....

The difference between the poor countries and the rich ones is not the age of the country:

This can be shown by countries like India & Egypt , that are more than 2000 years old, but are poor.

On the other hand, Canada , Australia & New Zealand , that 150 years ago were inexpressive, today are developed countries, and are rich.

The difference between poor & rich countries does not reside in the available natural resources.

Japan has a limited territory, 80% mountainous, inadequate for agriculture & cattle raising, but it is the second world economy. The country is like an
immense floating factory, importing raw materials from the whole world and exporting manufactured products.

Another example is Switzerland , which does not plant cocoa but has the best chocolate in the world. In its little territory they raise animals and plant the soil during 4 months per year. Not enough, they produce dairy products of the best quality! It is a small country that transmits an image of security, order & labor, which made it the world's strongest, safest place.

Executives from rich countries who communicate with their counterparts in poor countries show that there is no significant intellectual difference.

Race or skin color are also not important: immigrants labeled lazy in their countries of origin are the productive power in rich European countries.

What is the difference then? The difference is the attitude of the people, framed along the years by the education & the culture & flawed tradition.

On analyzing the behavior of the people in rich & developed countries, we find that the great majority follow the following principles in their lives:

1. Ethics, as a basic principle.
2. Integrity.
3. Responsibility.
4. Respect to the laws & rules.
5. Respect to the rights of other citizens.
6. Work loving.
7. Strive for savings & investment.
8. Will of super action.
9. Punctuality.
10. and of course...Discipline

In poor countries, only a minority follow these basic principles in their daily life.

The PI is not poor because we lack natural resources or because nature was cruel to us. In fact, we are supposedly rich in natural resources.

We are poor because we lack the correct attitude. We lack the will to comply with and teach these functional principles of rich & developed societies.

If you do not forward this message nothing will happen to you. Your pet will not die, you will not be fired, you will not have bad luck for seven years, and also, you will not get sick or go hungry.

But those may happen because of your lack of discipline & laziness, your love for intrigue and politics, your indifference to saving for the future, your stubborn attitude.

So Far Away

(Words and music by Carole King)

So far away
Doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore
It would be so fine to see your face at my door
Doesn't help to know you're just time away

Long ago I reached for you and there you stood
Holding you again could only do me good
Oh, how I wish I could
But you're so far away

One more song about moving along the highway
Can't say much of anything that's new
If I could only work this life out my way
I'd rather spend it being close to you

But you're so far away
Doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore
It would be so fine to see your face at my door
Doesn't help to know you're so far away

Traveling around sure gets me down and lonely
Nothing else to do but close my mind
I sure hope the road don't come to own me
There's so many dreams I've yet to find

But you're so far away
Doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore
It would be so fine to see your face at my door
Doesn't help to know you're so far away

Missing you

Easter Surprise!

Usually the parents or elderly prepare surprises for their children, like hunting easter eggs, toys or chocolates. With my little ones, our grandma does that job, they get much that becomes a normal thing, makes me less enthusiastic at times to prepare, sounds routinary at times....

Well I didn`t.. so the kids surprise me. As I wake up this morning, they let me hunt in our little garden something they created last night(was already wondering why they keep their eye on me at the kitchen, hi,hi,hi)

A necklace made of buttons, a card and some drawings, all with lovely thoughts

I was so touch and at the same time, feel a bit bad

"Oh don`t worry mom! we had enough from Oma"" my eldest daughter told me "you`d been so nice and loving to us and we thought of making you happy!"

They have no idea oh how much they made my day!!

I lost 6 kilos and my weight went down to less than 50 kl. If I`m too busy, my tendency is not eat till I finished the work I started. I will stop when my belly starts to make sounds and looking at the clock, it`s almost past 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Not a healthy way...I know.

To tell you honestly, I`m not figure conscious but health conscious. I don`t look and feel good for my height with that 49 kilo weight so made a goal to regain that lost weight...

and I finally did
