In the silence, we ought to think:

How to recover,

How to rebuild,

How to rebound,

How to rearrange,

How to prepare for the worst

Contrast on the Morning of Buddha’s Festival

Old neat women,
Cuddle
Young kids, in
Gorgeous sun, in line,
Waiting for a vegetarian meal offered by Buddha
Next to the red wall.
My gloom
Grows up to be
Happiness

(Today is Lunar April. 8, said to be Buddha’s birthday. It’s a festival, I still remember how my grandma celebrated it with the kid Swallow, by worshipping at home with some special festive food, then adding it to the table.)

Olympics Torch ‒Viewed by a Member of Young Generation of China

-- a post from a Chinese Young Man’s QQ Blog (Translation)

Blogger: Bati Tsui, born post-1980s, an intense semi-reluctant business traveler in China and S.E. Asia

The Beijing Olympics torch relay finally arrives in Guangdong…After a long way, after an odyssey, full of controversies and difficulties: after the sieges by followers of dllm (initials of Dalai Lama), after the insult by American TV (CNN), after mocks by France and Britain; finally, finally, it comes to China, finally it downrightly enjoys the cheers, hues and hulas from our countrymen. Here, ZD members (ZD=zang du in Mandarin, meaning: pro-Tibet independence) dare not come to make trouble, TD members (TD=tai du in Mandarin, meaning: pro-Taiwan independence ) dare not utter a word, for even an very ordinary and common Chinese will not let them do so.

The several minutes news clip only, showing how people in Guangzhou and Shenzhen welcome the torch with enthusiasm, moved me and ignited my passion too. The Olympics is really really approaching, as close as it was just outside my door. Right at this moment, those old inspiring patrotic songs heard often during high school days naturally came to my mind. “ We are singing Sunrise at the East, we rise to be our own masters; we are telling stories of spring, we become rich due to Open and Reform.” Unity Is Strength, Socialism Is Good, My China Heart, Step into the New Era…all these songs. A foreigner friend who has lived a long time in Macau once said, contemporary Chinese are poor, because they are all brain-washed. I exclaimed at this comment. How deep is the West’s misunderstanding of China, so deep that I don’t want to argue with him.

China is indeed poor, in that she signed many unfair treaties; in that her Summer Palace was kept burning for three days and three nights; Nanjing Massacre; Embassy being bombed down (in Belgrade, Yugoslav); (Olympics) torch being snatched…After so many disasters so much plight China finally overcomes the difficulties and becomes strong, to host the Olympics Game. Right at this turning point a great number of western countries boycott it in name of so-called democracy. What’s more, (we) have to negotiate with the dllm (dalai lama) who ever participated in NPC (National People’s Congress) meetings, for a smooth Olympics Game, not to mention inflation and the snow disaster. We Chinese people really ought to rest down and have a good thinking; we ought to unite together. Though our life has been improved, de facto we still can do something, for example, to buy more national commodities and less crazy imported goods. To help your determination, just think of the French President, who pocketed back trillions in his 3-days visit to China, but is full of anti-H (H=hua in Mandarin, means China) worms in his stomach and the tactic to award dllm Honarary Citizen of Paris.

Wish China could explore further in the world stage. I admire Mr. Lu Sun (a famous writer during Republic and anti-Japanese invasion years who was sharp in arousing Chinese people’s awareness of their own problems and weakness). If he’s alive, his writing might have waken up several more Chinese.

Macau SAR government announces today that it will release a once subsidy to all Macau residents, may they be permanent or non-permanent, being at home or abroad, rich or penniless: mop5000(US$625) for permannent residents and mop3000 (USD375) for non-permanent.

Its aim: to help anti-inflation.

Common wealth?!

I would like to know if other countries/govs applied similar measures
before: to return wealth to all people.
.

And is it meaningful and helpful to the inflation?

Just finished reading a fiction, can call it documentary fiction. Awesome!

And keep wondering:

Do we all have prelife and prelives?

Are we all bearing the efffects from our pre-life(ves)'s deeds?

Do all the people, husands & wives, parents and offsprings, siblings, lovers and friends, all have mingled relationships this life, pre-life and next life?

There are methods to know about your pre-life(ves). Are you interested in that? Did it ever come to you some memories of prelives occurred to your dreams, and, a suddent thought?

I am curious, and, full of awe...

Karma, all karma?!

Episode 1 - Women Cry for Emotion

Deep night, Woman tossed and rolled in her bed, crazily choking in sobbing. She raised her tearful eyes but there's no moonlight. She snatched the pillows. He just left her bedroom, noticing nothing about her all night crying, without kissing her guessing she's in a bad mood.

Yes, she appeared strange, she had to hide it away, in order not to annoy him or add to his already existent pressure. So she restrained on the crying, only tears shedding, like the unpleasant raindrops serpentining a child's face, weeping voices condensed deep in the throat. She ate a lot the tasted food he cooked for her. Amazingly, watching him cooking devotely and eating his delicacies is the only love she felt from him.

She cried, just over a simple message she assumedly got from a simple conversation - he might leave for another faraway metropolis, in name of money.

She felt bad, so bad. She thought bad of herself, so bad. She couldnt conceive a good form of marriage, though she tried hard. Before that, she had the free-marriage concept, which proved wrong. When a couple entered the castle, a home is needed to breed - both love and family. She's a woman but she doesnt distinct a woman's role from a man's. She wished she was a mighty woman taking care of things but instead she's weak and incapable. She talked a lot but she seldom acted. She cares for mid-, long-term finance more than spendidng them for current happiness.

In a word, she thought, "I am incapable, so my man has to go..." Fear snapped her...sorrow overcame her...desperation subdued her.

...

She couldnt go out to the night, the night's deep and unsafe. She knew clearly only he and his medicine could quench her.

She wiped away the remainings and rushed into his bedroom...

Episode 2 - Men Cry for Cause

To be continued.

Why so many women dont want to marry?

(a Translation, in Chinese viewpoint only.)

Why I dont want to marry you?

You asked me for a reason. Yes, I have many a reason.

(Here is the list

1. After married, I am not your lover, nor important to you, but a housewife.

I dont want to be ignored.

2. After married, my position will be lagged far behind any member of your family.

I wont get any loving eyesight from you.

3. After married, all the relatives and friends will greet me, “when are you expected to have baby?”

I don’t want childbirth, nor to tell them, “M working hard.”

4. After married, I am a daughter-in-law.

I don’t want to have mother- and daughter-in-laws trifles and troubles, nor do I want to show filial piety to my mother-in-law, because I don’t like her.

5. After married, our nest will become her son’s home. The mother-in-law can visit the son anytime and we need to reserve a room for her.

6. After married, my child will become someone’s grandchild and have to accept his/her education.

I can educate my own child.

7. After married, your mom becomes my mom while my mom is still my mom. My mom never needs me to look after her, yet I’ll have to look after your mom.

Only one mom do I need!

8. After married, I am reduced from my mom’s sweetie to your mom’s waitress always under her orders.

9. After married, we cant go traveling anywhere we like. If we travel not far, I worry that your mom would ask, “Why don’t bring me along?” If we travel far, I worry that your mom would moan, “ So good at spending money!”

10. After married, our house must keep clean and neat anytime, in case that the Queen Mother will make a sudden inspection visit.

11. After married, you might have a mistress.

I don’t want to check your mobile phone day by day, nor do I want to smell your shirt to distinguish the perfume different from mine.

12. After married, I will become a servant.

I don’t want someone to point at my back groaning about my laziness and disrespect to the senior.

I need to work yet need more to rest.

I don’t want to be a servant in our home and additionally one in your mom’s home.

Why I don’t want to marry you?

Just because I don’t want to lose my original life!

Still great to be single.

I hope you can understand me.

In African blues and a rusty songs, we three drank up two bottles of red wine. And danced up our bodies in the alternation of various candle lights. Amd talked, effusive topics.

Past romances, current regrets...

We all are 30-sth women. They yawned,
"No men but fantastic!"

My two lovely friends invited me to a Tsingtao trip helmed by all-women in April.

"What to do? I dont like metropolis, you know. I am not sure. " I uttered tipsily.

Now, I know, hills, hills, trees, trees, bunches, bunches of spring flowers, no less beutiful and flamboyant than Kyoto in cherry blossoms would be beaming to us.

Yes, Spring has come, so georgeous the sunshine is today! Grasses are sprouting, flowers are waiting to laud it, and our inner to outsing...

After a long absence in HK and retreating to N. America, today Edison finally appeared today to make an personal yet open apology statement.

Punishment: he'll quit HK entertainment industry and sink his stardom.

Trivials and abnormals in HK society: every HK mag with such pictures on the cover was immdly sold out once on newsstand; tens of millions of downloading of thoese pictures though warned illegal; Edison pictures scandal news even took the TV news headlines, not to say the tabloid papers; males, females, kids, young and old all must have a glimpse on the pictures, with some guys cunningly laughing at them...

Worst gossip: death order was issued on Edison by Black society in HK to save some female cele's face. Edison appealed for HK police's protection.

Edison did take the pictures of himself and gfs in bed, meant for personal use. Yet unfortunately they were stolen fm his disordered computer during a fix in a familiar computer shop and upload viciously...

Is his and their privacy violated? or he tample on others and the whole society's dignity?

Is he guilty or innocnet? Convicted or victim?

Or

Our society's voyeur mindset and sexually ill attitude?

HONG KONG -- Hong Kong singer and actor Edison Chen said on Thursday he would step away from the Hong Kong entertainment industry to "heal himself", in his first public appearance since a sex scandal broke.

Hong Kong singer and actor Edison Chen reacts during a news conference in Hong Kong February 21, 2008. Chen said on Thursday that he would step away from the Hong Kong entertainment industry, in his first public appearance since a nude picture scandal broke in January. [Agencies]

Hong Kong police said some 1,300 private shots of Chen in bed with at least half a dozen female celebrities had been copied by the staff of a computer repair shop from a faulty laptop believed to belong to Chen, sparking off a media frenzy.

The Canada-born Chen, a hip hop artist and Asian film star who has appeared in films such as Infernal Affairs, the Hong Kong triad film which inspired Martin Scorsese's Oscar-winning film "The Departed", admitted for the first time that most of the pictures circulating on the Internet had been taken by him.

"These photos were very private and have not been shown to people and were never intended to be shown to anyone," the 27-year-old said in a calm voice amid a flood of camera flashes from the hundreds of reporters gathered.

Chen didn't identify the women in the photos, which appear to show him and several female stars -- including singer Gillian Chung and actress Cecilia Cheung -- either engaged in sex acts or in sexually suggestive poses. "

The scandal has dominated headlines in Hong Kong for weeks, with the images widely circulated over the Internet.

Chen, 27, who returned to Hong Kong from the US on Thursday, apologized profusely for the photos and said he would take an indefinite break from the Hong Kong entertainment industry after fulfilling his outstanding contracts.

"I'm deeply saddened by this. And I apologize that everyone had to go through this," he said.

"I have failed as a role model. However I wish that this matter will teach everyone a lesson."

He said in a brief statement he would fulfil existing commitments before stepping down "indefinitely". He added that he would dedicate himself to charity and community work.

"I've decided to do this to give myself an opportunity to heal myself and to search my soul."

Hong Kong police have so far made 10 arrests in connection with the scandal
