About me... in a nutshell, I am thoughtful, intelligent, honest, sincere, passionate, caring, good-natured, confident, funny, a dreamer and a realist at the same time. While friends consider me smart, I'm not overly intellectual but rather silly and playful - and sometimes downright naughty, irreverent, and politically-incorrect. I value family, friendship and quality time. I like to live healthy, eat healthy and I am interested in a wide range of things. I am addicted to learning and I have a healthy confidence in my own abilities. I enjoy trying new activities - including exploring new surroundings and sharing them with my friends, especially someone special.
I've been lucky, life has presented adventures to me and I've gone with the flow. My background is rather humble: I grew up on a farm in the midwest and came out to California to attend Stanford University. My journey has included starting a number of companies, teaching at a university, and some travels around the world. Now, I'm finally at a place in my life where I can truly be a giving life partner with a wonderful woman.
I believe in true love and I'm still looking for someone who's the quintessential "great find", who's playful, has a generous heart, who values quality time with family & friends. I would like to share our interests and concerns towards developing a serious relationship. My ideal soulmate would be an intelligent, confident, honest, trustworthy, considerate, responsible, decisive, compassionate, independent, energetic, adventurous and goal-oriented with a great sense of humor and family values who loves to laugh and takes life as it comes. To me, a really great time isn't necessarily the fanciest restaurant, or the most glitzy, expensive hotel- it's getting caught in the rain and holding hands as we run for our life to get under cover, then laughing out loud at how ridiculous we look soaking wet. Most importantly someone who is grounded in reality and enjoys the simple things in life.

and she realizes this about me, though there may be some healthy intellectual wrangling, good-natured pranks, or running jokes between us. She's probably creative, possibly in the arts - I respect and admire
artistic people because I'm so not that - and I need a woman I can admire. My ideal relationship is a dynamite team of two independent individuals with complementary skills and talents.
