I'm a Canadian university teacher living in Yokohama. I love to explore the city, take photos, find interesting places to eat. I'm interested in travel, film, fiction, and alternative music.
Eventually, I would like a serious relationship but I also like meeting new people, making new friends.
Things I like to do with other people: play pool, drink (coffee or beer) and talk, go to the photography gallery in Ebisu, see live performances (music/dance/theatre), hang out in book stores and CD shops, go to restaurants.
I am interested in Japanese culture, especially the contemporary kind, and I am learning Japanese...very slowly.

I like people with an offbeat sense of humour, who are talkative and have many things in their life that they are enthusiastic about. Your interests do not have to be the same as mine, but I like someone who is passionate about something in their life -- work, hobby, art -- whatever. An interest in literary fiction and wacked out art is definitely a plus. I am NOT interested in talking about sports or fashion. The whole topic of cuteness is wearing a little thin also.
