I would like to take this opportunity to both introduce myself which, hopefully, will provide an insight into the woman I would like to meet.
I was born in Manhattan in Flower-Fifth Avenue Hospital to first generation Italian parents of quite modest means. My father was an elementary school teacher who eventually became an elementary school principal. My mother was not college educated. I was raised in Oceanside, N.Y. on Long Island.
I earned a bachelor degree in economics at Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts and an MBA in accounting and finance at Columbia University in Manhattan, New York.
After graduating Columbia, I worked in the investment banking division at Goodbody & Company, which at the time was the third largest brokerage firm in the U.S. The year that I was made a special partner and contributed my share of partnership capital was a year that proved to be disastrous for many Wall Street firms. By year’s end, the firm, along with many other Wall Street firms, went out-of-business and my partnership capital contribution was gone.
After a few trying years, I joined Mobil Oil Corporation (“Mobil”) in the International Treasurers Portfolio. My first overseas assignment was in Paris, France where I was Assistant Treasurer at Mobil Oil France. At the time I had two “young “daughters (I still have two lovely now “adult” daughters), and we lived in an apartment on Rue Pauline Borghese in Neuilly-sur-Seine, an absolutely lovely suburb of Paris with many stately chateaus, one of which was where their elementary school, Marymount, was located.
After my assignment finished in Paris, I returned to corporate headquarters in New York awaiting my next overseas assignment, which was in London as Treasurer for Mobil North Sea Ltd. The following link provides my responsibilities on this assignment.

Once the North Sea financing was completed, I was transferred to Singapore where Mobil was establishing an Asia-Pacific Regional Office (Mobil Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., 3 Killney Road, #10-00 Winsland House, Singapore 239519). My title was Finance Director – Asia Pacific Region, which extended from Pakistan and India in South West Asia to Mainland China, Hong Kong and South Korea in North West Asia, all of South East Asia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Micronesia and the Pacific Islands. It was while on assignment in Asia that I divorced. For both my London and Singapore assignments I was on single status.
Once divorced, I established a Las Vegas mailbox because, with the thousands of executive stock options I had accumulated, I was attracted by the fact that Nevada did not have a state income tax.
After retiring, I moved to Bangkok, Thailand for a few years. After tiring of Bangkok, I moved to Las Vegas and started exercising my stock options.
My eldest , also having earned an MBA at Columbia, now lives in Bridgehampton on Long Island. She is married and the breadwinner. She also went to work on Wall Street in investment banking after graduating Columbia. My youngest lives in Greenville, South Carolina and is an executive at a southeast regional commercial bank. My ex also moved to Greenville, after discovering the beauty of Greenville. Neither of my daughters have .
I am a lover of beautiful music, which includes opera. Some of my favorite performers are Yuja Wang, a concert pianist who was born in Beijing and now lives in New York City, Sarah Brightman, an operatic soprano, and Andrea Bocelli, an Italian tenor. I also love at Christmas Handel’s Messiah. When I worked in Manhattan the Messiah at Carnegie Hall was a must at Christmas time. The Messiah was first performed at Trinity Church in Dublin. In England the Messiah is performed in two parts. The first part, Christ’s birth and younger years at Christmas and Christ’s death and resurrection at Easter.
