Where do you go to escape from work and the strife of the outside world?
Is your home the perfect paradise you wish it was? What would you change?
I think I have a good blank canvas. I want to do more to make it mine, I mean to decorate it just the way I want.
I still want that Jacuzzi in the back yard though, a big grill, a bistro set...ahhhhh.

Crazed Cleaning Lady

Tomorrow I will drive in to get rid of all my dad's medical supplies from my mom's apartment. The cleaning lady is asking for his several boxes of Clariton D, his syringes, etc... Can't those be used for meth? Well, I will donate the stuff to my doctor to get it out of there tomorrow and I'll make sure to let the cleaning lady know it's all gone.
Then she said, "Well, I'll take the new microwave and water filter. You could give them to me for helping you pack up and move."
Um, my mother is still alive. She needs those things.
I just told her that I wanted those things for my mother.
Then she told me that all those medical supplies should be thrown out and that she wanted to know what day I was going to throw them out to make sure they were taken. Ha, probably by her.
She also said that she wanted to go through all the boxes with me. Um, what for?
As I said, I'll donate all my dad's stuff to my doctor.
Then she asked for the alchohol swabs and one of my dad's walkers. Those I did tell her that I would give her just to get rid of her. I think she will be selling the walker.
Then she told me that the vaccume doesn't work. But the floor looked vacummed the last time I was in.
Then she said she would stop over when I was there tomorrow.
I told her that I didn't want anyone in there right now. And that when my mother moves my friend who lives five minutes away from my mother will stop in with her husband to help as well as another friend who lives close by. She said, "Oh, you do have someone to help you move."
Yikes! I have to get my mother out of there soon as this lady's sister runs the apartment and has a key. Well, as I said, tomorrow I'll get rid of the medical stuff. I found a place for my mother to move in March 17th. I'll just have to keep the crazed one at bay until then.
This kind of reminds me of Scrooge when he died. Remember the old woman who sold his bedclothes?
What if this woman tells some of her friends about my mother having medical supplies in her apartment. Well, as I said, tomorrow I'll clean them all out and make sure the woman knows that they are gone when I pay my mother's rent tomrrow.
I'd never heard of someone so blatantly greedy before. Oh, yeah, my ex husband is a miser. But even he woudln't ask for stuff from a dead person's home that he wasn't related to while the wife was still alive. Oh, and get this, she said,"Your dad said that I was like family, so I should get some stuff. I even helped him put up his tree."
Um, she's no sister to me. And my father told me that he said that to his nurse. The cleaning lady was probably there and over heard it. Tomorrow can't come too soon. If she knocks while I'm there, I won't answer it. I'll just take her swabs and walker up to the front office before I leave when I pay the rent before I go.
Oh, I almost forgot. She also told me that she knows that my mother has three savings books, when my mom gets my dad's VA money direct deposited and she wanted to know how much money he gave her before he died oh, and how much his insurance was for.
I guess she knows about the money because she had to drive my mom to the bank sometimes, but she even knew how much my mother had in her savings. I'll check to see if the books are there tomorrow. She could just be extremely nebby on the money part. I'll have to check the savings books tomorrow to be sure.
Well, I think you can tell what kind of night I'm going to have, lol...
Ah, the problem will still be there tomorrow. I'll deal with it then.

I got a good job!!!!!!!! I'll still keep the part-time one too as a secondary income. So now I am a therapist again for my first job. For my second job my with mental retardation and I go out and have fun. If I ever get a job at a university, I'll make the therapy the second job. Life is getting better.
Speaking of that, today I called to refinance the home, so my ex can't force me to sell. I couldn't do this without a good paying job before.
I also filed for primary custody of my today. My ex husband got primary because he paid a therapist to write reports about me and she doesn't even know me. Anyway, my turned 12 and can say whom she wants to live with now. The job will help to show I am good for her and my as well.
I also checked out two places for my mother this week. I will be moving her up near me. The grandkids and I will be able to see her much more now.
My dad was right. Things will get better. I just wish he was here to see it.

People have been so kind. The neighbor boy put off going bowling with his other friend so he could be with my Sunday. His mother made us lasagne and dessert. My friend offered to check in on my mom. She lives very close to her. The priest that I used to work with invited me over to his school to vist with him on Wednesday. It will be good to see him and the old place I used to work. My aunt even called to check in on me. Both of them actually.
I am doing okay. I slept from seven pm until one am and I think I'll go back to bed again. I had an interview today and will have another tomorrow. Then I have to call back another facility about another interview. Well, keeping busy will help.

My father had a beautiful funeral. I met a friend of my father there from high school. It was amusing to hear the trouble he got in that he never spoke of. The next day, both of my prayed the "Our Father" kneeling at his casket. The pastor also took the time to get to know about him. He even looked at the scrap book I'd made to prepare for the sermon. He spoke with people to find out who he was. After his sermon, the American Legion came in and took turns at his casket saluting him because he was a captain-doctor in the army during the Vietnam war. At the funeral site they saluted him again and my copied them. Then the veterans folded the flag. My mother became distraught when they presented it to her. Both the preacher and the army chaplain said words. A 12 gun salute was given. Taps was played. The preacher then put three roses on his casket to form a cross. The put pictures in between the casket and the vault. Then they went to find the shells from the salute as souvenirs. When I turned to walk away I looked at the horses frozen in place from the gun shots. The four had come up to the fence to see what all the noise was. He would have loved that as he loved animals. Three of my friends told me that this was the most beautiful service they had ever been to. I'm very happy my father was honored so well. He had a kind and generous soul.

An Amazing Man

My father was an amazing man.
He said to me, “remember when
we used to take the lawn chairs out
and look for meteors?”
I tell him that I do remember
that and how he taught
me the names of the stars.
I will never forget the tomatoes
as big as your fist.
No man has grown better that I know of.
My father was an amazing man.

“Do you remember the seashells
we used to find on Oahu?”
Yes, the tiger and the pink.
I’ve always loved the beach.
“What about the arrowheads?
You used to love finding them.”
That was a lot of fun.
We can go fishing in Erie.
They have a ramp that goes right to
the water.
My father was an amazing man.

“I can’t wait to go fishing
with you and the again.”
We’ll go as soon as you’re out
and it is spring.
“Good, yes I’d like to go.”
I am so tired now.”
I’d better let you get some rest.
I Love you a lot, Dad.
“I know you do. I Love you a lot too.”
Good night, Dad.
My father was an amazing man.
What an amazing man.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Well, per "The Rules" book, if a man doesn't give you anything for Valentine's Day, he's just not that into you. Well, I didn't get anything for V.D. (lol) day, so I guess no one is "that into" me. Well, of course I got stuff from my family, but I mean from a guy.
I can remember being married and getting a bag of M&Ms for V.D. I can remember feeling a little bad about it, but then one of my friends called me up to tell me she got a sapphire ring, and then I felt a lot worse about it. She then became mad at my husband because he makes more than hers did and he didn't get me something that cost more. I guess that's one of the many reasons I'm divorced. It's not about money, but about a little forethought to show love. Those M and Ms were picked up on the way home from work. He just never thought very much of me after we married.
This year my told me that he told them that Valentine's Day was not a holiday, so that he would not have to get or do anything with them. Talk about cheap! They are for Pete's sake. It is a holiday to . So, I had a party here for them that was great.
I see in those chick flicks how into the women those guys are and I want that in real life. They sing outside their bedroom windows, they bravely ask them out, they risk their lives, they do all kinda stuff I've never seen a guy do in real life.
I don't think a guy has ever put me first. Three guys this year that I thought liked me showed up with girlfriends at the places I always see them. Talk about not making any kind of effort, lol...One even had the balls to try to flirt with me while his girlfriend was in the weight room at the gym. I walked away.
Some women would still pursue them, but why? What would you get out of it? A guy who's just not that into you. There's a chick flick about this, "He's Just Not That Into You," I guess from "The Rules" book. I'll have to go and see that. It sounds more realistic anyway.
Well, on that bitter note, lol, I hope you are having a better Valentine's Day than me.
Platonic Love all around

You would not believe how much snow we have here. I have never seen so much in one spot in my life. It was so much that I broke my snow shovel last night. When I told my friend on the island of Captiva that we just got another six inches of snow dumped on us, she said that she just got another six inches of sun shine. Brat, lol! But I love her.

Obama and US Jobs Solution

Okay, am I missing something, but every time I go to get customer service, the warranty department or technical assistance, I get transfered to the country of India. Shouldn't Obama restrict the number of US service jobs being sent overseas?
Here are some of the companies I have had to deal with. When I signed up with and am stuck with their services, I later find that my US products are being serviced in India.

People PC: I called a local number and signed up for the Internet service, but when I want technical assistance I am sent to India to unqualified technicians. All they do is read off the card step by step procedures. By the end of several phone conversations I had what was written on their card on a card of my own. I quit using them in favor of a US company that charges twice as much, but at least my service consistently works.

Chrysler Financial: Why are we bailing out large motor companies with tax dollars when most of their service personal are stationed in the country of India??? When I was transfered 15 times today in an hour, 13 of the employees who transfered me because they didn't know the answer to my question were from India.

Well, I've got to run, but if you know any more add them to this list. I just wonder why there are not restrictions on the number of US jobs going out the window overseas.
